Map for Alexandrite Lost After disconnected

Dear Officer in Charge,

I was attempting to do one of the Treasure Map for the Novus weapon by defeating the mobs that spawned after I tried to open the chest on 14 Jul 14 (+8 GMT)

However during the combat I was disconnected from the internet. When I log back in, I lay dead on the field.

After I chose to release and return back to the Saved point for resurrection, I have found out that the Map had disappeared. And the "DIG" Function will no longer work as I do not have a Treasure Map.

Please assist to investigate and return me back my 1 x Treasure Map.

That's how maps always worked. Once you spawn the chest with dig, goodbye map, connection quality be damned.

It's one of the reasons not to solo your alex maps.

FYI, the chest disappears only after one of the following conditions after you've tried to open the chest, accepted that the map will disappear when you do, and spawned enemies.
1) Leaving zone with chest unopened
2) Opening chest after defeating enemies
3) Time runs out

While it sucks to get a disconnect in the middle of fighting, you're already at a point where your map no longer exists.
