    Twin Adders? :c

Hello people! I'm a SCH and I enjoy the Frontlines! :3
But here is what I'm noticing...Okay, here in Primal server I think? Leviathan, we're getting wrecked by Maelstrom...A LOT.
I see Maelstrom win more than anyone else, and Twin Adders lose, by a large margin almost all the time.
Anyone else notice it? I don't really care about winning but y'know its fun to work together and win, so everyone's
happy and having a good time not stressing. I believe the problem is that we just do not communicate as much as we really should be. In the beginning no one says anything so you dunno if B needs to go all mid, split or whatever so it's like...ok then...? No one says anything when posts are dominated either...constantly.
I'm not a real PvP fan and I enjoyed LoL and Fantasy Earth Zero [A REALLY fun SE made MMO PvP game.] and in order to win those two,
communicating is key. I am also no way a leader so I am scared/shy to talk too much but I do ask how posts are every now and then.

Maybe I don't know how to play FL well and making it harder than it is, but is it the norm to stand at a post for the entire time when no one's even coming?
Like...what should I do then? Do I help other posts or sit there? Should I ninja a post?
I was at Markets I think and OP was near us...just sitting there ready for us to go, but no one did anything....So I finally asked "Anyone wanna go to OP?"
And that was too late because a god dang horde of Maelstrom was zerg running my face since I like to keep eye on sides. xD I was like
OH FOOK LOL. I would also like some tips so maybe I could help lead a little or know what to do as SCH? Do I stay with my group? Then someone told everyone to go all mid...
and that made us lose so badly because the other posts sat empty but Markets. [Which me and my group was there...waiting...]
I know I'm being a hypocrite by saying I don't communicate much, but I try when I see people coming or if anyone posts are doing okay.
Just had a match where we was losing behind 2nd by like 500-600 points or something and everyone was cursing each other out
and moving to another GC. I dunno what to do. xD I think FL possible needs a tutorial or something...

Edit: Okay I re-wrote this so back to I-Pad for me.

    Tips or advice please!

I feel your pain! I think it is communication. There is always someone shouting A go here B go here C go here. In reality it's not that simple. Especially when C starts out with 3 people or something random. No one accounts for it they just shout the same stuff at the start. It gets quite after that except for the occasional YOU GUYS SUCK.

I have also been in really good groups where everyone is giving constant updates and the person who steps up in the leader role is being positive and giving guidance. Also making or joining a Frontlines Twin Adder ls and going with a full party is great.

As for supporting other outposts or attacking them I'd suggest making it a party decision. If you break off and everyone goes where the hell ever (which happens a lot for us) you could just end up feeding the other GC points.

I have a macro that I say at the beginning of every match. It basically goes:

    Okay guys, here's the plan:
    Team A goes here.
    Team B goes here.
    Team C goes here.
Team B sends a few to middle for nodes (at whatever time).
Fight at the flags and defend them once they're yours!

Or something to that effect. The first couple days people would still just do whatever half the time, but now they are pretty much going by the basic strategy.

After I hit my macro, I do advise Team (whatever) assists Team (whatever) until their flag is captured, depending on how many people there are and what not. Also, B can typically send 2-3 guys to each side to help the initial captures, but after that they need to be ready to move back to Outpost or go to mid as needed.

B is the most dynamic party, and can really make or break the match if they're smart about helping the other teams when needed.

Interesting, a majority of the frontlines I do. It's the Twin Adders winning. Parties im in scattered around the entire map, no one listening, people insulting..Maelstorm doesn't always do great. We get wrecked just as much as everyone else. lol

Communication is always a problem in MMO objective-based PvP. FFXIV's new frontlines are no exception. At first, as people always do in battlegrounds with multiple bases and one non-base objective, for a while, everyone wrote off middle as completely unimportant. "Bases win matches. If you're in middle, you're bad." In less than two days, the entire deal had begun to flip-flop. You immediately found equal numbers of opponents and proponents to focusing middle every match. Now, it's obvious to most that middle is important and bases are secondary while middle has something spawned. Despite this, every single "strategy" macro I see spouted in alliance chat always completely ignores middle (except for ONE player that I saw who rewrote his to include it - I like him).

I generally take it upon myself to add in the bit about middle and adamantly (and respectfully) persist that B absolutely go middle 1 minute prior to every spawn, even if they have to drop everything else. I can honestly say that, when people listen to that advice, we are far better off then when they follow the oh-so-common and very misguided "strategy" that people love to macro in order to pretend they have any idea what they're doing.

One of the best matches I was in was when I was in B, and everyone in B let me take charge. They didn't reduce themselves to mindlessly following my orders, no, but they took my suggestions (and that's what they were - suggestions, not orders) with a fair bit of weight and made their own decisions based upon them. I suggested early on that we focus middle and, in between each spawn, we ninja/hit two of the outposts, then immediately head back to middle. All agreed. We missed middle only once, when we got caught up in a skirmish between both other factions for one of the outposts, which I called out as a bad idea, and we avoided skirmishes like that for the rest of the game. Every other time, we got every node in middle, slaughtering the B teams from both other factions reliably, and got the only large middle spawn that ever happened (the one worth 200 points). On average, throughout the game, we controlled 2 outposts, alongside whatever else A and C could manage (which was generally 1-2 bases).

Now, keep in mind, we were doing well. However, at the start of the match, one of those "strategists" called that B would support A and C whenever needed. Naturally, since we decided to go outposts, we were not around to do that. We were called out on it in Alliance chat multiple times. We assured one another in Party chat that what we were doing was more helpful, and I mentioned that helping those other two bases that A and C were after would be too far away from middle and would stop us from being able to react to middle properly due to travel time. We ignored their pleas for help and continued onward. As it was apparent that we were winning by a large margin, the complaints that we weren't helping soon stopped, as we were the only team actually accomplishing much of anything aside from holding one base.

By the end of the match, we owned four bases, three of which were outposts thanks to B's ninjaing skills, had A assaulting their base, and held C's base. The game ended at around 1600:600:800, with us winning. This was an amazing victory, and it worked because people were willing to put their pride on the line and coordinate together as well as under the guidance of another. I could only imagine the amazing PvP matches that would ensue if every team would work together like we did. I could not have asked for a better team experience than I had that match.

I hope I didn't come across too conceited in this post. It's all just very exciting that I managed to experience a game like that with such a cooperative group. I'm very proud of that victory because of how smoothly executed it was. Our team that match ran into problems, but we always managed to regroup and overcome them. We made mistakes, but we managed to come through on top anyway. And it wasn't just us, teams A and C, too, were a big help, doing an excellent job coordinating with one another to ensure that we always at least had one non-outpost base. All of this was only possible due to our ability and willingness to communicate and cooperate. I hope to see more of this in the future.

Twin Adders loses a lot. I don't know why. team A always get their ass kicked at the market. for the Adders in general, all they do is camping and can't even defend it. basically they have bad (or no) strategy.

maybe because the Twin Adders is the least popular GC in the game, in every server.

Every player's online gaming experience is different. You are really lack of data of any kinda to say that Twin Adders is the least popular GC in the game.

Really? In Primal? Maelstrom and Adder have been neck-and-neck according to my own experiences. Today, however, Maelstrom seems to be on a winning streak!

She's just saying from her experience in Frontlines. Based on my experience of Frontlines, 104 games played, twin has probably only won less than 10 games(1st place). I've got 56 1st place as Immortal Flames. The real competition is Mael and Ul'dah. Usually it's Mael and Ul'dah that are busy fighting each other which is why Twin gets pulled ahead.

It depends on who is playing. Who wins varies on who is playing. I've seen games where every GC is playing like derps and one GC way in front, also games where the standings are so so so close! It just depends on the group.

You can have all your alliance in Heliodrome and get no drones if no one is attacking drones at the time.
