Hmm ... well itd have to be one that appeared in a Nintendo system (maybe even exclusively) so there goes most of my favorites from 7 to 10.

Id say Cecil from FFIV. Probably as Dark Knight since thats the one he's best known for but im all for a double version with Paladin like with Zelda and Shiek.

EDIT: Edgar would probably be fun to play as well, or Shadow with his dog.

Then again they could just go with a warrior that switches into different classic FF jobs.

I like this idea.

I'd also wouldn't mind seeing Rydia as well. Think of a mix between Pokemon Trainer and Zelda (non-shiek form).

It'd have to be a character from the Crystal Chronicles series. Also, remember that Final Fantasy characters appeared in Mario Hoops 3-on-3; A WHM, a BLM, a Moogle, a Cactaur, and a Ninja.
