SMN Trying to Clear Brayflox HM Final Boss

So I've cleared Brayflox HM with a number of parties to date. Almost every one has been speed runs. But a similar problem seems to arise for me every time I run that dungeon. During the final boss, as a SMN I have a TERRIBLY hard time helping to push back bombs at any sort of decent rate. I don't know if it's my cast time, or what seems to be the problem. My instinct is to just spam Ruin at the bombs at least one time to push it back. The problem is during my cast time, someone else will generally run in and push back the bomb I was targeting, thus forcing me to change targets, and start casting all over again.

So my question is this: what's my best way to clear bombs in Brayflox HM's final boss as a SMN?

Why don´t you use Miasma II? It´s an insta-cast Aoe, you sould´ve learned with Lvl 46. I use it with my SCH and it works great

We were all there at one point. I remember I asked my party if it worked when I first ran brayflox HM. But now you do know it so next time you get bray you can face the final boss with your head high

Well I greatly appreciate all the help! Now I'm looking forward to trying it out again. I've always wanted to keep at that dungeon to try and get the Darklight Cowl of Casting. However that final boss always made me dread the endeavor! As you said, now I'm looking forward to jumping back in the fray!

Hit Miasma 2 just as the bombs drop in the center, then use it to push out individual bombs or small clusters that remain. Good luck!

Just watch out, Miasma II costs a lot of MP.

I will cast it once and then start hitting them with my book. No MP req'd.

There's so much down time with this fight the mp cost isn't an issue. Use Miasma 2 as freely as you want.
