BLM: Laevateinn vs. Stardust Rod Animus/Novus

I've obtained a UAT in Syrcus Tower. BLM is my main, but I've levelled alternate characters.

My question: should I save the 1300 soldiery tomes to buy the Laevateinn and upgrade it. If I do, will it have better stats than the Animus weapon which I am slowly getting to Novus.

If the weathered Laevateinn is stronger than the animus Stardust Rod (and the normal Laevateinn is going to be stronger than the Novus version), I'll pick it up and convert it ASAP. If either Laevateinn is weaker, I may just save my tomes and pick up the Yagrush or the Rosenbogen and convert that to the unweathered form.

Main stars aside, they will have the same iLvl (110) so only the secondary stats you decide to put on Novus will determine if it's better than the Laevatein, unless I'm mistaken.

Weapon damage of Laevateinn and Novus are the same, so no difference in the most important stat. Delay is a tad higher for Novus, not sure if this really counts something. Main stats are identical so the only difference is about the customizable stats.

Granted how much of a pain for some of us it is to even require atma myself i am going with Laevateinn, Novus is only a tad better dependant on stats.
It is for sure better then the animus.
Laevateinn is more then good enough to do coil and get high allagan weapon

Cool... Thanks for your comments. It'll be a little time to get the Novus Stardust Rod. I want to do one relic to completion (in whatever form it ends up in, just for the sake of it). I think I'll purchase the Laevateinn and convert it to give me some extra hitting power immediately because the Stardust Novus is a little way off (crit at 11 fusions and tier 1 finished; det at 6 and failing at a rate of 50% a fusion on that first tier).
