    Possible ways to improve hunts.

There are probably other threads but it's late/early and I don't feel like checking. One thing however is clear: Hunts are a source massive waves of server-wide anger. People are being blacklisted, expletives are been shouted like they are going out of style. No one is offering any solutions, but people are consistently sending in names to GMs trying to get others banned. It's chaos and I only blame SE.

    My Solutions:

    1. Starting small, improves daily hunts. How, you say? triple their rewards. As it stands, completing every daily hunt for a weeks still nets you less seals than S rank (with full credit) and without the chance of a log. So what has everyone done? Simply ignored them. If they gave 3 times as many seals, I'm certain more people will be inclined to do them.

    2. Increase the health of all elites. For the B and A ranks, increase them 3-10 fold. For the S ranks, 3 fold. It might sound a tad much for the S ranks, but please remember that S ranks are on a 72 hr spawn timer and require a lot of work to spawn. Also, Increase the health of B and A ranks even more in accordance to how many people are participating (like fate bosses). For S ranks however, leave them be. (The part about fate bosses wasn't mine, but I like it).

    3. And this one is entirely optional. Let A and S ranks use extremely powerful abilities on the first people to pull, ensuring that a tank pulls. And only on the first ability. It would be nice to one shot early pullers.

    4. This is my favorite. If an A is pulled with less than 30 people participating, or and S with less than 75, reduce the chance of log drops for everyone by 50%, by 75% for the party that initiated, and 100% for the person who pulled. This will ensure that people actually wait. It also means that there will be enough people who can actually take down the enemies with even more health. It should be also implemented so that if a SMN stealthily pulls with a Garuda pet they also receive the penalty.

When the hunt craze craze dies down a tad, some of these restrictions can be lifted. But all of these should I believe can be easily added via hotfix.

To other players who have solutions, please posted and be sure to like so the devs can see this post.

So you punish people for finding it before others? That's not the point of a hunt. It's to slay the monster, claim the reward. Before others. A's can be slayed by a party of 8. S is the only rank where you generally need a lot of help. Why do people feel the need to punish SMNs for a ninja pull? There is no law that they need to wait for 200 people for a B rank lol.

All they need to do is carry the modifications they've gradually made to FATEs into hunts. That would quell a lot of the simmering concerns within the community.

But what does it hurt to share with others on your server. Honestly, what does it hurt? Many people have linkshells and only look to see if anyone post coordinates, but never share their finds. They simply do not want to wait. The A ranks are on a 4 hour timer and if they just happen to be taken down by 1 group but no one else realizes, the rest of the server spends that time searching in vain. I see no down side to waiting for other people but if other people don't like the solution, they they can disagree just as you have and then SE will not implement them. I however, hope that people feel the same way I do.

I think your suggestions are good except for the last in which I agree with Hulvien. The hunts weren't intended to be an all-inclusive event as much as FATEs are. However, I think there are probably ways we could discourage people from over hunting to allow for other players to stumble upon the mobs as it were intended. Maybe limiting it so that you're only rewarded for one rank per week? But then again I feel that that detracts from the original spirit of the idea also. I just hope it's not a matter of waiting it out til the majority of the population has grown bored of this content.

You're mixing improvements to the system, with punishing people for playing the game.

You don't impose penalties on people, just because 200 others couldn't find the monster in question.

Remove sands and oils as possible rewards. I can't believe SE withholds adding them to CT2 for fear of making them too easy to get and then implements a system where someone can get as many as they like without any skill or even effort on their part.

In that case, how about posting a server-wide message, similar to the ones you get when your retainers return from ventures, that a certain monster has just been slain. (Only for A and S ranks). And then, people can choose to turn off the message at their leisure. It just helps so people know to stop searching.

This is no longer an option. It's too late for this.

This is not a venture. This is a HUNT. It's about who finds it first, who slays it. No, you're meant to HUNT them, not have them handed to you by a message.

It's not handed to me by message. I'm not saying get a message when they spawn. I'm saying get a message when they die. How is that handing anything to anyone?

Why should people who found it first be punished? (ignoring the use of third party stuff, that's a different story). It's a hunt; the prize is for people who find and kill it first, not for those who tag along on a mob that was found 30 minutes ago.

The worst thing about hunts is all the entitled people who think that everybody should wait for them until you can start, and the rage that follows when they don't (making it pretty unbearable for me levelling in coerthas atm).
