I've only done hunts for two days, and have a measly 60 something seals. I've also seen people I've never seen before on my server (probably people who just started playing a month or two ago) running around with 3-4 pieces of upgraded Soldiery equipment.

Personally, the quickness that the monsters die, and the fact you HAVE to be in a party to get full credit is very sad. Not to mention, the incredibly pathetic exchanges I've seen with people getting in fights over these hunts, name calling, insulting. It's very sad.

Yeah daily's giving 1 seal, and 2, which you have to wait for 30-60mins for another specific fate to spawn (I got Klithios or something like that in boulders Down?) - that's a real joke, versus just doing your usual stuff, coming across one of them, you kill, give a whopping 20 allied seals, 80 myth, 20 soldiery! Wow all of this for a few seconds of his life?

No wonder everyone wants to do this. There is no point going into a dungeon to cap your soldiery, and you get nice allied seals! I'm about a 100 now.

Yup, I don't to hunts with a LS or anything, I just go with the flow.

But really, Now I feel that these mechanics and rewards now makes everyone to stop their track about the rest of the game and focus on it.

I mean, they even drop Bloody-splattered Mark Logs (250 allied seals value) in one shot! Just wow.

And yes, although I'm happy that with these I'll get iLvl110 on my PLD in order to feel better tackling the Second Coil, it's.. too easy to get for the initiated?

Now don't get me start with the 'so-called' Radar

Funny how everyone is tagging them: Legion, Horde, Swarm hehehe

But yes SE: the community in which it's a bit fragile and on the verge, now it's raging and insulting. Not a good place to live in Eorzea.

@Mistress Soulfire: idk if by hitting them first you get the full credit, but I've been in parties and asking how much they got, and it was the same thatn when I soloed one.

Now, don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the fact they added Sands/Oil to Hunts/Syrcus Tower so people like me who don't do SCOB can upgrade, but there should be some adjustments made to make these more fair for everyone.

I also believe there should be some sort of weekly cap, like 750 seals per week. That way, you can only obtain one Sands per week unless you're really lucky and get a book drop.

Two simple things they can do to alleviate some of the traffic in the hunt content are

    1) Decrease the Spawn Time for at Least B Rank Hunts to 15-20 Minutes. Honestly since they are meant to be soloable there is no good reason for people to expect others to shout and wait for a massive group to show up. Its really stupid. If they need to decrease the seal reward by a little, so be it. Soloers and small group would be able to hunt more without fear of constant verbal abuse from the masses. And they'll be up again in a reasonable amount of time for others.

2)Make the Hunt NPC of the Area Give Clues where the Hunt Mob Will Spawn Next I can understand not wanting to have each spawn in a small predetermined area like in XI. But I think it would be less frustrating and, more importantly, more in the spirit of the content, if the Hunt NPC gave some clue as to where it would pop next. Make it as vague as you like. North, South, East, West. By a small copse of covered trees. Whatever. It would be more "hunting" rather than "random searching". Maybe have some tracks on the ground if you find the proper place or something.

Just some small ideas to help make this content more enjoyable for everyone.

    using it.

The only definite way to know would be to verify that the player has the radar scanner running on their machine while in game.

I don't think SE has the ability to check what the player is running in the background without a hack into the player's computer.

And I highly doubt that they would go to such great lengths.

I just noticed it cut off the top of my post.

What it should have said is I don't think SE can do anything about radar scanners because they would have to have proof that the player is using it while in game.

Yea, I don't know what is with people's automatic dismissal of anything FFXI, other than its just cool to do if you didn't play it. But everything Tupsi mentioned is either a tiered popping system or a tiered instance system. Pretty much what folks are saying they thought or hoped Hunts would be. Maybe check your hive mind at the door and do some research on what someone is actually suggesting.

I hope SE puts in the effort to make the open world work.

I love it. It's competitive, gets people to socialize more, and adds much needed open world content. I suggest they get rid of the sand/oil from the vendor to eliminate most of the QQing related to the subject. Keep the sand/oil at the new Crystal Tower, Coils, obtainable via PvP currency, and maybe introduce a new weekly quest that rewards them. Or maybe have books be rewarded for taking on your weekly hunt and from S ranks.....after they change the way weekly hunts work >_>
