    @Parz3val: because if they were to save the PvP actions to the character config by class or by gearset (as was the original suggestion) then it would push the gearset over the memory limit per set to save. This would mean longer load-times or user-side saving which could potentially lead to cheating or user-side lag if it were to be saved locally, and also be completely impossible to do on a PS3 or PS4 unless you jailbroke linux on it. The hotbar portion of it was an example of how much room they get to work with. In other words, the hotbar settings were brought up as ONE method of making accessing pvp skills easier, while they do understand the reset is bothersome.

    It's a temporary solution to a long-term problem, but at least they're aware of it.

    If I make a suggestion, perhaps for Camate to see.

    As there is a strict post size limit, I've saved this on pastebin, and it can be viewed Here

    Essentially, reduce the size of each hotbar setting to around 1KB or 2KB per set. (someone feel free to check my math here).

    Edit:
    Ok, and it just occured to me - If you allow us to have just two hotbar sets per job; a PVP and a PVE set? And you use this method for saving hotbars? 2KB or 4KB per job and class. Assuming the craft jobs only use a single hot bar set, for DoW and DoM you'd be using 32KB or 64KB total per player.

    With DoH/DoL added, you'd be using 54KB or 108KB total per player. That's pretty small!

    thing is, it isn't PS4 limitations, it is infact PS3 limitations. the PS4 could easily handle what he was speaking of and not run out of memory. the PS3 is just about at its memory cap. the PS4 isn't even close
    note: after re-reading it I noticed sony placed an artificial limit on the PS4 with its file backup service. hopefully they will change that. it's rather stupid

    so basically it's sony holding back the game on the PS4 not the PS4 itself ~rolls eyes~

    Please don't make it a requirement for the weapon to be drawn in order to enable a PVP-only hotbar.

    I never use the "Enable customization when weapon is drawn" option because then I'd need to put a mount / Sprint on a different hotbar when not in combat.
