I was playing perfectly fine 9 hours ago. I went to work and left the game up in the background at the Start menu. I allow my roommate to watch tv shows and movies on my computer while I am at work since he does not have a TV.

When I came home I put the air conditioner on high and accidentally tripped the circuit breaker, so the power went off while my computer was on with the game in the background.

I sat down after work to start it up after restarting my computer and now I instantly get a big error message when starting the Launcher. I usually ONLY get it when I am accidentally disconnected from the internet. But everything looks fine and web pages are coming up obviously.

I don't know if my roommate did something specifically to the launcher, he thinks I play too much and refuse to let him on here until I go to work. He has mental problems and may have done something somehow to prevent the game from loading. 2 weeks ago he "accidentally" disabled my Wifi USB Adapter, and it took hours for me to figure that part out. I just thought it died since it was 2 years old.

Did the files get corrupted with the power being shut off? I do not see a way to verify the game files, like other MMO companies have.

My error message is this:

"Version Check failed. Please confirm your network settings. If this does not resolve your problem, you may need to whitelist FF14 in your security settings.

I need help or I can't play the game, since the Launcher and game depend on the Boot and I can not see anything wrong with my internet, other than the power suddenly going off corrupting a boot file.
