Time to reduce the amount of GC item materials needed from x9 to x1?

Back in the day, it was made so the (at the time) high level crafts required not 1 but 9 of a mix-in in order to synth. Presumably this was done to make it so stuff like Vanya caster/healer gear wasn't too attainable in relation to items you could buy with tomestones.

However, those gears are now way behind the curve, and stuff that uses Vanya Silk or other similar materials is mostly used for vanity/glamour gear. Isn't it time to scale this back?

Why do I bring this up now? It looks like SE has made these GC items like potash drop all over the place in the higher level dungeons in order to produce more supply. Wouldn't it be easier to lower demand somewhat and make vanya silk only take ONE potash instead of NINE?

So, please allow actual GEAR to drop from dungeons, and scale back recipes like Vanya Silk to only require ONE of a Potash or other GC item mix in. Please.

I don't we will see this happen now even if they were thinking about it..

    why you ask.??

well since patch everyone and there pet chocobo has been buying these materials to power level desynth. so if they scaled it back it would make it a lot easier cheaper to get the new demimateria that's required for the now new i90+ gear and weapons in the new recipes.

does this suck.!? yes, because as of patch the cost of so many things have shot up and any new or existing players thinking they can kit themselves out in stuff like vanya, griffen or darksteel have to pay a lot more for it.

so now it is much easier to just run the dungeons and get the free darklight gear and ignore all that stuff altogether. which for most has always been the best choice anyways.
