Judgement vs Judgment

There doesn't seem to be any solid consensus as to which form of the word is correct, but it is certainly odd to see both forms of the word present in-game. It seems that the intended spelling for use within XIV is Judgment without the 'e', though I'm mainly basing that off the fish (Judgment Staff) which existed prior to this patch.

The rings awarded from Ramuh Ex are 'Judgment Ring of X', while the quest to unlock Ramuh EX is 'Judgement Bolts and Lightning'. Also, a xivdb search turned up monster abilities named both Judgement Bolt and Judgment Bolt, which I found rather amusing.

'Judgment' is the US English spelling, while 'Judgement' (with the 'e') is actually the British/Australian/international English spelling. So technically both are correct, depending on where you are. I'm likely to think though that in this case, the British spelling is the correct one, and that the use of the US phonetic spelling is simply a harmless typo that somehow slipped past Ferne's ahriman gaze.

Except, the original form of the word in England was judgment, and judgement is a recent misspelling made popular. It's now equally common in the UK to spell it either way, but in the US, judgement is generally considered a typo...

That said, it really doesn't matter, both are valid in an international game. The only problem I have with it is the inconsistency. I find things like that jarring because it feels like one or the other has to be a typo, which makes the game feel less professional/polished to me. It's a problem I have with some indie games - typos are common because they skimp on editing, and it makes the game look, well, kinda amateurish.
