Wanting to return, but no friends

After looking through the forums this seemed like the right place to post, but I'm sorry in advance if it's not.

So I played for a while since the game released but was forced to take a break when my computer was wrecked. I came back to find everyone I knew had quit playing, and I lost interest after a while for a few reasons. I felt very behind, I had no clue about many of the new features/systems, and I had no one to play with. Not to mention that it just seemed to difficult to find people in game that were friendly.

Basically I want to return, but I just don't feel I would last long playing by myself again. I don't mind starting over, and I'm hoping to find a free company on any server really that is willing to give me a new home.

I'm not new to mmorpgs and I normally play during varied hours, however I do book more hours at night (Also I'm on the U.S. west coast). I'm not really a 'hardcore' player, but the crystal tower really looked fun and I'm excited to try that. The most important thing for me though is a fc that is relaxed, kind, fun, and helpful. The main thing I'm looking to get out of a fc is friends.

I'd really appreciate any responses, and hope to run into some of you kind players in game.

Hey there Vinncent.

First off, welcome back to Final Fantasy XIV! Like you, I don't enjoy this game playing solo, as there's only so much you can do before you get bored. The social aspect of the game is extremely important for me.

Anyway, I can't speak for Adamantoise, which appears the be the world you are registered to, but I am on Ragnarok, and am in a pretty good Free Company, with a great Linkshell as well - so there's no end of socialising to be had across both mediums.

My Free Company, Ren Geki, generally always has someone online no matter what time you play. I'm Australian based, and the company is mostly New Zealand based. I generally play during the day - as am on break from university.

Anyway, if you were interested in transferring servers, hit me up ingame (Eltaire Tryst).

Oh, and the Crystal Tower Raids are amazing. XD

I have a Free Company in Ultros that help new players with story driven content, and early instances/dungeons. We are indeed a very relaxed and casual small FC. We will gladly lend a hand if you need : )

I had played this game for awhile and stopped playing after my friends did. I tired to stay engaged, I just seemed to have real bad luck finding a good FC. After some time passed, my interest in the game picked back up again and I subbed again. I really do enjoy this game, but I still have trouble finding welcoming FC's. It could be my server, but who knows. If you do decide to return, I'd be happy to help you out when I can. I'm not afraid of starting over either.
