Getting Back Since this time last year!

Hi guys, haven't played since this time I have a level 36 pld and have a couple questions--

Are people still playing effectively with a PS3?

What level should my other classes be to level effectively?

Where should I go to get some good armor to level up in and where should I be leveling up in?

Any other tips suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Hi, this web sites have a lot of information:

    http://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/FF14_Wiki

    http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/

Other's classes level does not matter, but some cross-class skills are very useful and not hard to obtain. Look at the guides. There are also threads in the forum. For the not easy to obtain cross-class skills that need a lot of leveling up other class you can wait until you are level 50. You'll probably have most easy to obtain cross-class skills already.

Normally you will obtain the gear from the dungeons, since it is likely you won't have a lot of gil to spend. At each city there are market boards where you can see the gear available for each level and class. Scroll down to see if there are High Quality items, these are as good as the ones that drop at the dungeons. At level 50 you'll be able to buy gear with tomes, on top of the drops from the dungeons. There are threads about this. Each 5 levels you get job quests that give gear too. Gear, especially the weapon, is important for a tank, to survive and create enmity.

The best place for leveling and practice are the dungeons, and they drop gear. Guildhests are also good for practice and leveling. There are roulettes you can do daily, the low level roulette will give you extra exp points, and the guildhest roulette too.
Levequests and Grand Company quests are also good for leveling, and also FATEs. The sites tell you where the FATEs and leves are for each level. You don't get as much practice as you do with dungeons. The quests you find along the way will also serve to get exp and some also drop gear.

There is good gear at the Grand Company, have a look at it. FATEs and Grand Company leves give seals. The better gear needs higher GC rank. For ranking up you'll also need seals. Not right now, but it's good to reach the highest rank so that you can obtain the ilvl55 weapon when you are level 50.

There are threads about what to do when you reach level 50.

About PS3, I don't know, but I think many people play with PS3 with no problem.

    Good luck!

PS3 stay as it is since the way it start. I don't think people ever play effectively on it thought. Always low RAM issue and can't load things in open field.
