    Gpu heavy

Howcome this game puts such load on my gpu.
I play wildstar and rift, and i usually never go above 50°C on my gpu, but whenever i play ff i go 54C or even above O.o Why so much load?

I tried putting everything on minimum graphics settings, even fps is on 30, been playing with different graphic settings, nothing seems to be working.
I just like to be a bit careful, since i fried my last comp.

I have the latest video drivers and i keep my case clean

    Tnx for the answers.

Welcome to their outdated DX9 implementation.

It's not just the GPU that is getting hammered... your RAM and CPU are also. Nearly everything in the case is getting throttled in ways it likely isn't with the other games because they are better optimized. This can cause ambient case temps to warm up, and everything can suffer from it--not just the GPU. If you have fan speed control for your card, you may be able to tweak it a bit to help tone it down some...otherwise, you could try to increase air flow through the case to help keep the ambient temps down.

50-54C is not at all stressing the GPU, I assure you. Video cards can run properly as high as 75C, and modern heatsink/fan tech has done a great job just in the past two years of lowering the normal operating temps well below that.

I used to have a Radeon 4870, which for its time was a pretty top-of-the-line card. It IDLED at 65C, and under a good load it would get up to 75. When the original FFXIV stress test came out, I ran it & got close to 90 and THAT kinda freaked me out. Ended up buying a GTX460 which I still use today.
