They have access to chatlogs, just check to see if that person made the announcement, and if it was before or after they go to the fake mark, won't catch them all, but getting rid of some is better than the way it is now.
I also doubt they use in game methods and trickery to track people down. They have their own programs and methods on investigating these things.
We shared and translate your petition on the French forum. Hoping SE will do something soon.
I disagree with removing hunts.
As I had mentioned before in another thread, B rank should get HP 5x, A 10x and S 10-15x. They increased it some; they should have jacked it up. Make dailies 5 seals per kill, weekly 40.
The one way they could eliminate the radar completely, is get rid of the name plate except when targeted (not attacked, just targeted), and then visible to the player. Not sure how it could be done, but then it would never show up on this radar app. But then you'd actually have to go around hunting for it, visually.
Personally, I would love to get my hands on an S rank sometime soon, just because I love the hunts. But don't remove it entirely; keep fixing it up.
If the hunt were to be remove then I have the following proposal for the unique items and marks:
In exchange for Elite marks being harder to find, normal marks shoudl get an upgrade:
- Succubus and Chest ether become exclusive rewards (like the Shantotto and Brockman minions) or places as rare Hauke/Tam-tara HM and Amdapor/Hullbreaker drops respectively (like the Opo-opo in Brayflox)
- GC gear is simply relocated o the seal market an to keep the grinding aspect, cost 30000-50000 seals apiece
- Logs? will be ether removed with the hunts or buy-able for 450 Sol tomes.
- And all the elite marks will be retooled as FATEs with new marks being introduced upon reimplementation
- The new Bs have 48 hour timers like the current S rank marks. While the Ss will have one week timers. They will also give out 50 seals for Bs, 100 seals for As and 1000 Seals for Ss. The catch being that they will automatically be claimed by the player who targeted it first (or fosrs had it in his line of sight.
- And lastly upon reimplementation the Logs souls cost 35000 seals. The Miniosn may or may not be buy-able is they are used as dungeon rewards
- First off player will hunt B's, A's and FATEs (as in those that were formerly marks) for their daily marks and S's for the weekly mark with a reward of 20 seals minimum for the slayed mark (and 1000 selas dfor Slayed S.)
- Those with the bills can spawn then by going to the destination point regardless of timer by using the bill in a relevant zone
- The person who spawns the mark gets full credit but everyone else gets a maximum of silver unless they have a bill for the same mark
- Marks would have an equal chance of dropping Logs, Atma (based on the zone, some are exempt from those for obvious reasons) and Alexandrite (replacing the Atma in those zones)
- There shall be only Myth tomes, Sol tome are only given out on S ranks
- Finally line in XII, the new marks should be unique, at at least unique pallette swaps

I tried every day last week to get the Elite Mark done.
Kind of hard to do the Elite Mark Bill when one or two FC's can pretty much dominate the zone and kill it every time it pops before the rest of us can even run 10 feet in the right direction.
Unless you're in the spot it happens to spawn in, you'll never, ever get it.
I'd wager the odds of hitting the lottery or being struck by lightning are higher than the chances to get the Elite done under those circumstances.
At this point, its yet one more thing SE got us hyped about then moogled it up so bad in its implementation that I've stopped caring about it at all.
I dont know what sort of "vision" is leading the dev team at SE, but they need glasses pretty damn bad imho.

I was a little disappointed with the game when it came out, it was rushed, you could tell it was rushed. Many of the things in the game it seemed like we only got a little of what we were supposed to. Raids, we got coil, we were supposed to have coil and CT at release. Free companies now still don't feel like a completed system, and that is with all the stuff they have added since launch. The chocobo companion system was released half assed, it is starting to get better, but until they let us que with them out, it will always be broken in my eyes. The materia system was a joke, now it's used for crafting gathering and novus, still not what it should be. The list goes on, with the hunt system they had absolutely no foresight into the problems it would cause. It really makes me think that maybe it's not that it is being rushed, maybe the devs are just bad at their jobs, I mean in every letter from the producer before a patch Yoshi says he just gave his final approvals, so he is ok with this half assed, band-aided, we can fix it up and flesh it out later content they are dropping on us. If the excuse is that this game and content is rushed, well it shows, but really it's been nearly a year since release, how long will they keep sitting on that excuse before they either start canning people and bring in folks that can actually get stuff done?
Forgive me, but they aren't "free sands and Alexandrites," since the players have to spend large swaths of time searching entire zones for their marks. Time = money, meaning it isn't free.
Make it so every hunt mob only counts once per week. Bloody Mary pops? You kill it? Sweet. You leave the zone look for another, someone posts that bloody mary is up again, you aren't going to get credit, are you going to tele back out? More than likely not. If they could make it so you can't even attack it, that would stop people from killing it just to troll others.
They don't need to remove hunts or take anway anyone's loot, that won't happen because they know they'd anger the player base even more, I think everyone is going to have to deal with the fact hunts are here to stay.
Join a hunt LS, afk in town/craft/gather/do non-instanced portions of your books. Wait for call outs, go to zones as necessary. Same results.
