Announce macro question

So I hit the cap on my SCH a week or so ago and decided to set up a macro that would call out to the party telling them who I am reviving when I use resurrect, since I saw a lot of healers doing so when I was leveling my DRG before and as I got into 8-man content as my SCH.

I realized it would help with 8-man content just to prevent reviving someone at the same time as the other healer, but my issue is that the call out happens even if I mistakenly press the macro when nobody needs/is being revived.

Like I could have a bit of downtime while healing so I might go to help dps a little but accidentally press the resurrect macro as I am going through my hotbars, and in the chat the call out will happen and say I am reviving whatever I am targeting at the time.

Now I usually dont accidentally press the macro but when I do it can be quite annoying so I was just wondering if there is something I could put in the macro that would prevent the call out from happening unless someone is actually being revived.

add a <wait.1> after the raise before the /p line.

This will prevent pause the macro if you spam it. But there is nothing you can add that will prevent the /p if the action doesn't go off for whatever reason.

I would just not worry about it unless your doing it all the time.

I suggest you try repositioning your raise macro. Mine's with other relatively little used abilities (ones I click rather than hotkey), so it doesn't fire accidentally.
