Chat (Clickable names? Color?)

I don't mean to object to this in any way. I'm am simply curious as to how color modding words in the chat log could be used to disturb players. I wish to gain perspective. Can you give an example?

People use colors to differentiate chat channels (tell is a different color from say, which is a different color from linkshell, etc.). When players use alternate colors it can be confusing.
