I play DRG, But I can tell just by looking at it MNKs probably have it worse. Especially when fighting bards. I love that they can adjust the battle system specifically for pvp so can we remove the positional requirement for combos for MNK/DRG?![]()

MNK doesn't have requirements, only benefits. So you're suggesting full potency regardless of direction? I suppose that wouldn't hurt, melees are already bottom tier @ frontlines.
Best goons on our primal dc (kirito, crimson, shoko etc) always put out the most Top dmg and can easily burst down a ranged dps during a fetter ward.. No positionals would be insane.. Altho I speak of wolves den pvp, in frontlines I do feel the pain for melee
It's only temporary but, Impulse rush already does this.
until they start moving, i can hit them on their flank in between their skills, its a small window, but it is possible. also, for drg the only flank is heavy thrust, if they are running in a straight line away from you their back is always facing you, so hit them with impulse drive, and even if they turned back to you, you can disembowel from the front if ID was from behind.
Simply focus tanks or someone you see not movin a lot, buff up with heavy and then wreck havoc. With fetter ward on I suggest to just totally annihilate any black mage / bard around , avoid anything that can knockback
You have a chance literally every time you see anyhealercaster stopping to cast. Surecast and Equanimity is an even bigger sign that you're going to get an opportunity soon.

Wouldn't mind seeing the positional requirements replaced by a half duration to buffs created by the positional move itself or the combo started by a missed positional, assuming it can use a different marker/highlight to separate it from real combos and misses. Mess up the Heavy Thrust - lesser potency and only 10 seconds' duration. Mess up the Impulse Drive - initial potency decreases and Disembowel and Chaos Thrust end up with half duration (and perhaps only half the direct-damage combo bonus).
But even that would still probably be overpowered during Wolves Den, where melee do not suck.

I dont know why people say that melees do suck in Frontlines, we just require to break los a bit more often than others and pretty much learn to DROP YOUR FOCUS if you see that its beein outhealed, seriously. We re still pretty nasty with our dps cooldowns up and thats once per minute in the case of IR, BFB is 80 seconds, for the rest its just focus management.
I think I'd rather see them focus on anything except for tanks, even if that means its harder to deal consistent damage. If there's a group of enemies, tanks are the last thing you should be dealing with in my opinion.
A true paladin... will sheathe his sword.
