Great, now if only SE could at least acknowledge it. All they have to do is one post saying "We're aware of the issue and are investigating it." is all we need

My husband has been having this issue. I also had it a few months ago and decided to get an Nvidia card. Since then have not had the issue. But my Hubby is still running an AMD 7950 card and had a hell of a time during Hunts last night. He kept getting lagged out to the point that during an S rank that was dead for 2 minutes, he was still watching everyone fight it in choppy slow mo, then his client crashed once it finally caught up. Among many other times where he's just lagged out extremely and then crashed.

Yesterday was the real test for me. I updated to the beta drivers on Friday. The game ran pretty well over the weekend. Tuesday hit and everything reset and that's when to expect the most people online. Unfortunately my frames dropped at the worst time sporadically during Turn 9 in the last phase during Bahamut's Claw every time. This made me a little nervous since my group solo tanks the fight and I'm the tank. The game finally crashed on me after a few teleports after we finished.
I sent this update to AMD. They relayed the update to the driver team.
For the AMD users having problems, they posted a form on a few hardware forums and twitter regarding their drivers.
"If you are experiencing a problem with the AMD Catalyst™ Driver and you can consistently reproduce the issue, please complete this bug reporting form. "

Form closes on Sept 12.
Is there any word on this? I'm experiencing the same thing. 60fps all of a sudden to stuttering 1fps when trying to teleport shortly after hunts.
I run AMD as well. R900 series. It's so annoying!
Says drivers are up to date but I read on Catalyst that I may need to reinstall something because drivers got skipped on certain PCs? Not sure but I want this fixed.
Yep, having the exact same issues. Right after a hunt my fps will drop to 1, then if I accept the TP I either completely crash or load into the next zone and then crash. Really freaking annoying never had this issue until the recent patch. It probably is a driver side problem though hopefully AMD can get it sorted out (I run a radeon as well)Is there any word on this? I was so scared that it was a temp issue but I'm glad to see that other people are experiencing it - as annoying as it it. And yes, hopefully AMD can get this fixed.Yep, having the exact same issues. I have noticed my laptop gets REALLY hot at around the time people gather for the hunt, its possible that it is heat related. Right now I got a fan going full blast at the vent ports on the bottom of my laptop, gonna see if this changes anything - at this point I'm willing to try anything, lol. Super annoying to be crashing every hour or so!!
Also after reviewing most of this thread it does seem to be very radeon/amd specific, so more then likely a driver-side problem.
I think I figured out a temporary fix, at least it works for me on Windows 7 OS with AMD graphics card.
If you hit control+alt+delete and go to the task manager, and select FFXIV as if you were going to kill the process, hit end task, but do /NOT/ actually confirm that you are going to kill the task (Just to bring up the window) this seems to clear some memory on the card that was falling behind, and lag INSTANTLY goes away for me after this.
I have also noticed it to go away immediately after opening the task manager sometimes, without fake-killing the process.
I am curious if this works for other people, so if it does for you please let me knowIt has been working great for me, and is really fast to do.
