That is the exact problem I'm having. How has this not been fixed yet? -_-
recently I experienced massive framerate drop in CT, but no client crash.
Some graphic artefacts can randomly appear like that :

i can't answer that without swearing and looking like im a fan of another company.
My laptop which has AMD, and runs on Windows 7 has the same issue. It'll slow down then crash upon teleporting after a set period of time. Which was never an issue for both computers before this patch.
Both are high-end computers that effortlessly run this game. So something changed recently with this patch to make the issue worse.
I used to have nVidia GPUs all these years, first time that I don't - because they didn't have the GPU I wanted at the time and ordering would've taken too long, as my old one had broken down and my PC was nigh useless.
Guess it's nVidia again after this one.
check your windows recent windows updates, the issue has been introduced by a hotfix on a couple of occasions. My laptop which has AMD, and runs on Windows 7 has the same issue. The game isn't really doing anything different resource wise, theres always the potential for a windows update to introduce issues with old drivers - especially if MS patched the dx kernel files recently....
This problem has come in and out since beta, and with 2.3, its super back with force. I, too, am using an AMD card, 7970, and have been dealing with this memory leak problem for a while. It sucks, and its caused me to miss several S-rank hunts and a myriad of A-rank hunts since the patch. When this was happening during beta, however, it was WAY WORSE because crashing to desktop meant that I couldn't log back in for days sometimes.
It would REEEEEEEALLY be nice if Square/AMD addressed this. But seeing as how this has been happening for the better part of a year, I don't see a fix anytime soon. I'm gonna write to AMD but I doubt anything will come from it.
