So happy about this. Great news
If its true I finally I don't have to fight another tank for a loot drop but to the dps, GL. But i think most people will go into CT trying for the oils and sands. So either way its going to suck
That would be cool. Hope they keep it! It is a step in the direction a lot of people on the forum want, not having to have 2/2/4, so 1/2/5 if true...
Does anyone have any guesses about the whole gear/tome/oil/sand?
Meaning, obviously we know the gear is 1 piece per week. They've confirmed that. But, in regard to the tomestone/oil/sand, is that something you will need/greed or is it something randomly distributed to a player. Furthermore, if you need a sand of time, does that disqualify you from an actual piece of gear?
Again, no one knows at this point, but any educated guesses?
I really hope that is final, And not just something they have thrown together for the Dev Team. Means it should help with Queue times ^^ at least for CT.
They said they wouldn't add all three at the start, So I wonder if like the first few weeks we'll only be able to obtain Gear. Then every few patches they add one. But I really hope sands are in from the get go. But for what you asked I'm sure that it will be either a piece of gear or an upgrade item once a week.

Based on various sources (translations from non-official sources) combined with the Q/A thread, UAT, oil and sand will eventually drop from Syrcus Tower at 30% drop rate.
And oil/sand will NOT be in there from 2.3, but will gradually be added over time... Chances are UAT will be there from start sharing loot lockout with the gear that drops in there.
That would allow people to get the Weathered weapons.
My guess is that oil will be next (for accessory upgrades) in 2.35 and sand in 2.38.
My guess is also that it will be an extra chest at the last boss that is shared over the full alliance.
I guess that would be pretty cool if they did that. I know some of the soldiery weapons seem great, others seem pretty horrid (scholar Book of Diamonds, I'm looking at you). That would definitely help people like me (who love playing different jobs) from having to Atma/Animus/Novus every single weapon. Once or twice, I can do, but 5 times, no thank you. =)Based on various sources (translations from non-official sources) combined with the Q/A thread, UAT, oil and sand will eventually drop from Syrcus Tower at 30% drop rate.

If its a loot drop then that sucks. If its a rare singular drop (limited to 1 per reset) then that would be awesome. It would give those of us who are attempting Coil2 a better chance at clearing it and those who have yet to attempt it a chance to try it. Assuming it doesn't count towards your weekly lockout.
Also I really hope CT2 counts towards that Tank mount achievement. I really want it but not so bad that I would spam t4 200 times per tank.
That just might work out well. Get a few more DPS out of the line at a time, don't need to wait on so many tanks, mechanics won't need to find a place for all those tanks. I'm intrigued.
