More like 10-15 mins. Those where the real nms. But at the same time the forum poster would then say they do not have time to camp and kill a mob like the good old FF players did......

Not to mention they die in seconds.
Anyone else think a system like XI's BCNM and KSNM would be better? Wouldn't have to worry about the lag from half of your server forming at a mob that's about to die in literally a second, and a server won't seem segregated. My FC is a very large and active one, and a lot of people on the serve accuse us of hogging NM's when we don't. We just have quite a few parties due to our number of members. As such, if an FC mate joins another hunt party composed of randoms, they've been kicked simply from being from our FC. Happened quite a bit, happened to me personally.
This kind of conduct never existed before, and I think the BCNM/KSNM system would work better. Farm your seals, gather the right number, assemble your group, and enter the boss instance. No need to hate on anyone, no need for segregation and discrimination. Veritable timesink, just a matter of how to implement farming the 'seals'
From other people's point of view, I look like a monster. I'm a stupid woman who imagines she can create a happy life by piling up her sins
With the ridiculous amount of threads going about, requests, venting, etc. There's no doubt they'll respond at some point. The question is in what way will they. We'll either be told to sod off or they'll do something, and I am beginning to wonder if they will be married to the system they have already put out.
I wouldn't count on that. People complained vehemently about the atma drop rate too, but that's "working as intended". It may be that they feel that no changes need to be made to the hunt system either, and just allow the insanity to continue unabated. With the ridiculous amount of threads going about, requests, venting, etc. There's no doubt they'll respond at some point. Though, the lesser rank hunts are simply a joke. Naul for one dies literally before a mage can cast a single spell (Not even joking there, he literally died in about 2.4 seconds), so there's that. They seem to have pitiful HP for 'elite marks' and die so fast. It's no wonder people crowd around just for the tiniest chance at getting a hit in.
Well there wasn't anything WRONG with the atma drop rate. People didn't LIKE it, but it wasn't fundamentally broken the way hunts are. There wasn't a crippling engine limitation that prevented you from getting atmas, and there weren't roving hoards of hackers making sure nobody can get to FATEs.I wouldn't count on that. Well said.Well there wasn't anything WRONG with the atma drop rate. People didn't LIKE it, but it wasn't fundamentally broken the way hunts are. Exactly! There's a difference from "broken/bad" versus "I don't like so it must be the devs fault!"Well there wasn't anything WRONG with the atma drop rate. I can live with broken content as long as it doesn't affect my progression too much. The problem is that the rewards for the hunts are too high. People with 3party software and good hardware can upgrade a whole set within a week.
What option do people have who can't do hunts? Either get a static and do coil 2 with a weekly lockout or grind ST again with a weekly lockout. Both is hard, annoying and takes several months.
They are giving overpowered rewards to a small part of community while locking out the rest completely.
Yes, it was content aimed mostly at casuals is the impression I get, but it has been implemented in a way that the hardcore benefit from it the most. You are right that it at least wont stop progression, but for many who were dreaming of sands outside of Coil or the weekly ST runs, its been completely snookered.I can live with broken content as long as it doesn't affect my progression too much.
