Logitech G600 Mouse Issues. (on board mouse memory vs automatic game dectection)

So, recently after patch 2.3, PS4 players have been complaining that their Logictech G600 MMO mice have not been working properly.

I use one myself, but with PC. And the PS4 players that use it might not realize it, but this problem has happened before and isn't unique to patch 2.3.

Basically, what happened (and previously happened with patch 2.2, but the ps4 version was not yet released), is somewhere along the line we lost support for "automatic game detection". This is when this logitech product refers to a profile of final fantasy control functions to ensure that the device correctly inputs commands to the game. (i.e. "g-shift acts as cntrl, or the buttons 1-9 actually press numbers 1-9)

PC users, like myself, can circumvent this error by opening up the logitech g600 software and switching from "automatic game detection" to "on-board memory" where we actually program what button does what function outside of the Final Fantasy software. Unfortunately, PS4 players cannot do this. (i don't believe so anyways, unless there is logitech software that can be installed on the ps4)

I'm trying to bring this to your attention, SE, because it seems like a relatively small fix. I know that the group of people that use the logitech g600 isn't a large group but, as a user myself, I know how disappointed I would be if I couldn't continue to use this amazing gaming mouse.

So please, give this issue some attention when you can. Thank you very much.

I don't believe it has anything to do with automatic game detection, on the PS4 anyway. I have the PC and PS4 versions and I used a G600 on both. Before 2.3, to get the side mouse buttons to do Ctrl+1,Ctrl+2,etc. on the PS4, I had to program that mouse on my PC and set it to on-board memory. When I then plugged it into my PS4, the side buttons worked as programmed. Since 2.3, even with these settings, all I get is just the number, not Ctrl+<number>. Since mouse support is implemented per game on the PS4, my guess is that SE changed something and isn't accepting the programmed input anymore.
