How do you feel about the stances for map parties. I for one been in both types. The thing is I prefer if it is my map per say for example I rather be owner need since it was my map which I either gathered or bought.
How do you guys/girls feel?

Was there a question in there?
FFA because maps are layers of rng on top of rng, and the last time I ran with a group that was map owner need... one person lucked out and won millions of gil in (multiple) minions and crafted pieces, while me and my friend got close to nothing valuable or wanted at all for our maps. I wasn't even claiming need on half my own stuff either because everyone in the group is contributing to every map.
Imo, as long as you bring one map to the party, you should be able to roll on everything. Exceptions being if there's one thing somebody really wants, then we'll throw that out ahead of time and help each other out usually. It's why I just run with friends, really.
FFA is best in general. If you're actually trying to get something specific (dont, just farm the money to buy it on the mb), then I run a variant of owner need with friends where it's owner gets to need on one thing per each of their maps but otherwise it's FFA.
It's basically the same RNG.
With owner need you can get all the loots if your maps spawn portals, but won't get anything if they don't.
With FFA you can get loots even if your maps don't spawn portals, but there's a chance you won't get any loot for your own map's portal.
So none is really better than the other.
My fc does map owner. Bit we also tend to just give each other the minions and rolls we need when they drop so...
FFA. Owner needs seems just unfair to me.
You can bring 5 maps, get only 1 portal that ends after the first room and gain basically nothing, while someone who brought 2 can get to the last room and cash in like crazy.
If everyone participates in killing the mobs, everyone should get a chance to roll. /shrug
im baby
This. With 'Owner Need', you can spend 15 minutes getting through all rooms, and make it to the final room, and it all feels as though you're just working for someone else's paycheck.FFA. Owner needs seems just unfair to me.

FFA makes every dungeon, and every room, and every victory feel like a team effort, and a team prize.

Yes there's a chance you just help someone else get their loots without getting any yourself, but there's also a chance of the reverse.
Absolutely FFA.
Exact same chances long term, but no one gets screwed if the group disbands when some people got to run 3 maps and a few only got 2 done. No one can steal "your" loot. It's just a more PF friendly system. Maps are generally dirt cheap or easy to gather anyway, if we run in FC I don't even care if people bring one or not.
