They die in seconds because they're not designed to be killed by the entire server, which is the entire root of the problem. They are being made into something they aren't meant to be because the rewards are so disproportionate. The hunts are actually something that might keep alot of my FC from quitting this game, last patch everyone more or less universally hated. IT is a great change of pace to have worthwhile content in the open world. The majority of my free company has a very positive feedback with these, to the point many are saying it is the best content SE has added to this game.
most wish there were claims, but with that being an impossibility... the need for a massive hp increase on all hunts is required. I say nearly 100fold increase in hp. Even the hardest ones die in seconds

I don't think you quite understood the context of that post. But then again, I don't think I quite understood the context of your initial post. I thought you were complaining about the fact that it netted you similar gear to the hardest content in the game. That is essentially what they did in 2.0. Allowing people to get i90 from BCOB and Myth. We are getting the same ilevel gear 3 months after SCOB was released.

What part of this new content (hunts) nets you Sands/oil of time which is on par with the rewards you get from SCoB (which is the hardest content right now) you do not understand?

The same reason that the intial CT was implemented, to bridge the gap between casual and non casuals. Original CT offered i80 gear, which was better than the i70 gear offered by philo but not as good as the i90gear offered from myth/coil. It gave you a better advantage in doing coil as you could gear up in ilevel by doing a combination of the 3. CT2 offers i100 gear that is, in some cases, better than weathered soldiery gear, but not better than coil or sand/oil enhanced gear. Not only that, it also drops UAT, which is ONLY offered in Turn 7 of coil, arguably one of the hardest turns in the game. It is almost the EXACT same as 2.0-2.15. So you tell me, what is the point of CT2?

But my question is, why does it matter? SCOB is 3 months old now. It is only fair to allow people more avenues to gear up for the upcomming update in another 3 months. Why is it so wrong to allow people to get higher ilevels than requireing them to do coil? The only people who do coil are ones who enjoy it, want the gear from it for BiS purposes, or want the challenge of completeing harder content. If people want to max their char at i110 but don't want/can't find a group for/or don't have the time to do coil, than what is the problem? What is wrong with it being on par with coil? i90 myth gear and BCOB WERE THE SAME ILEVEL ON PATCH DAY. Why is it a problem that you can get the same ilevel 110 gear THREE MONTHS after the initial i110 gear OUTSIDE of coil? I don't understand.

IF the rewards were any less most people would not do them.
They would be considered the same as Ramuh by many, a waste of time due to subpar rewards.
People are doing them because they have BIS rewards. Take that away and you are right they would not be done as much. Then again they could just remove them from the game instead and it would have the same effect.

The best solution in my opinion would be to simply insta-scale the marks based on how many people attack it, but cap it once it gets to a certain point. Putting a cap on Seals and/or increasing the amount of seals awarded would help as well, especially from the daily marks...it would be farmed like crazy until people reach it, but after that things would be more reasonably done for many people, as people would gain more seals and cap that much faster. Even one of these things would make a world of difference.IF the rewards were any less most people would not do them.

And there is my problem. I can't take a different route. I don't want the oils or sands. I want the pet and the awesome new sets for glamour and these can only be obtained by farming seals. I did raids and stuff, but I quit that and see me more as casual right now. I don't mind running through the world and hunting monster, but this is no hunt. Everytime someone calls out the pos the elite is dead in matter of seconds. I was not able to find one on my own and I was only able to fight against one... I got one seal. Don't get me wrong. I don't Lind farming and grinding but atm elite mark hunt is impossible for me. The real joke starts here: if I do the daily hunt (srsly weekly is impossible too) I would need 30 weeks to get only the chest and the succubus pet. 30 week. A month? Ok. but 30 weeks? Ifbwe consider i do them every day and camp every fate. Without fate elite marks it would take 72 weeks. Thats a bad joke.I think people are maybe taking this too seriously. If you aren't able to do hunts or don't have a network of friends to play with, maybe you should try another route? You could always put up a PF for SCOB, and try your luck there for sands/oils. Or grab some CT gear in the meantime.

I would suggest maybe getting a good group of friends who are also interested, and scouring yourselves while on a voice chat or a private LS. I have an alt on Hyperion and regulalrly do hunts with people in my FC on mumble, and we just do a couple 8 man parties and scour everywhere. I usually get maybe 150-200 seals an hour? Hunts is not something that should be done solo. Are there no PFs up for hunts on your server? It is almost impossible to get nearly any credit for hunts solo. I suggest making friends and joining parties.

This is one of the main problems with it. FFXIV is an MMO with thousands of players. It should not have content that is unaccessible to players because too many people are doing it. That is just bad design.I think people are maybe taking this too seriously. If you aren't able to do hunts or don't have a network of friends to play with, maybe you should try another route?
