Anyone else wish they could expand their inventory more?

After coming back to the game for patch 2.3 I just realized how cluttered things are with the retainers when one is doing gathering, crafting, and stashing vanity gear. I don't normally wish for cash shop items, but at this point I'd probably pay money to get more inventory tabs on my retainers at the very least. Maybe even a third retainer.

Anyone else got this "pack rat" sort of issue with their character and wish there was a way to get more space?

You can purchase 2 additional retainers through the Mogstation as an additional service. It adds to your subscription fee per month (so it's not a 1 time purchase).

But there is a limit to how much inventory you can be given as it takes up resources for each person. So at some point you also need to learn to manage your available inventory as best as you can.

I always horde in games like this. The armoire in the inn room is all but useless, I can only put 2 things out of my whole inventory in it. Need more options.

This game has much more inventory space than any other MMO but I can see it being a problem when you lv up several combat, gathering, crafting classes which doesn't happen in other games.

One solution for vanity hoarders would be to convert a complete set into one single item and maybe even equip it to a mannequin at your room.

GW2 had a nice way of organizing crafting materials too.

I don't care about inventory space but I do wish I could store sets of gear that I'm not currently not using to some place away from my personal inventory (I'm looking at your useless armoire...).

You actually have 200 slots in memory but 75 are reserved for key items and 18 for crystals.
What I wish this game had was a crafting locker. Like in GW2. It's a separate inventory that had pre-allocated spots for ingredients.

Maybe one day they will add a moogle quest, which after putting a specific bed in your personal house, he will ask you to bring him weird items like a shrimp lure and selbina butter, and next day brings you back an expanded bag

100 Inventory Spaces
300 Armoury Chest Spaces (25 ring, 25 main hand, etc.)
300 Retainer Spaces (default without purchasing more retainers, extra 300 if you buy two more)
Unlimited Armoire storage for AF, most event items, etc.

700 slots for items, 1,000 if you buy two retainers. What could you possibly own that takes up that must space?
