    Level Sync in Instanced Raids.

Most people I've found that want to do a raid are Rank 50 players who are just in it for the loot. I was hoping to use the raids for getting some SP, but sadly it's hard to find people in my level range.

There's only two dungeons in the game, and the level bracket that they're effective for is very small, especially Toto-Rak. Players with high level characters can just blast through Toto-Rak, removing all of the challenge and excitement. Surely something's wrong here.

I propose implementing a system whereby, upon entry to the dungeon, your class level would be reduced to 25/30/whatever, you would only have access to the job skills from that level. Gear wouldn't need much adjustment as it can be worn at any level anyway, but it would have the same stats as if the gear was actually worn at 25/30/whatever.

Skill points earned could then be applied to the class you are currently doing at the level you actually are. This would all be very similar to FFXI's level sync system, apart from that it is only active in the dungeons.

This would mean that dungeons could be seen as places for friends of different levels to come together and party, it would make up in part for the lack of party content since the demotion of Guildleves to solo content.

Please tell me what you think of my idea. Does the current set up leave you wanting, or do you like things the way they are? Thanks for reading.

I think level synch needs to be integrated from the top down. It was an amazing system that allowed us to party with our friends no matter the level difference.

I understand the big issue for full out lvl synch would be how breakneck fast you can get SP 1-20 and it would be totally exploited the moment it went live. Hopefully they can equalize it eventually and lvl synch would be a realistic idea.

Oh right, I didn't actually search before I posted. I'd kind of written out my post before I even came on here. Still, I feel my post was well written.

I should highlight that when I said
the level bracket that they're effective for is very small
I meant as far as earning SP was concerned.

i agree, and going in as a rank 50 isnt exactly a challenge, and the challenge range is also not huge not only the sp earning bracket

This is why I loved old CoP so much. Granted, it was a pain in the ass getting equipment for the level until they came out with sync, but it made it a challenge and actually fun. Believe it or not, everyone who has breezed through the airship fight had ZERO fun doing it. It was the ones who struggled for their reward with their friends that ended up enjoying it.

I think the same should be done here. Level cap them, but don't punish people who come in with Rank 50 gear. Just reduce whatever bonuses they have to what is on normal gear around that level.

agreed with curcio, and as an added if they are going to implement this, I suggest they do what they ended up doing in xi and scaling down all armour as well. I know most do in xiv but some have requirements

Yes please OP, completely agree. I've been looking forward to doing the R25 dungeon but as it sounds theres barely any players that rank around to do it with, definately a problem for people who would actually like to experience this content rather than blast through it with a group of high levels. As well as that it'd be nice for friends to be able to scale down to each others levels to help out and run the dungeon without it being completely faceroll easy.
