It exists, in an interview people even asked if a certain tool was ok and Yoshi basically said "fight club rules."
1. Which the grand majority are popped and have been for a very long time and is still considered overworld content, pretty sure thats what people were asking for since prior to 99 cap, some were actually a challenge for awhile (not insanely hard or anything, but something other than basic NM encounters, especially Tiamat for instance.)1. People were asking for the ye old kings system to be in FFXIV.
2. ZNMs didn't drop a Ridill/EBody, which is why we kept camping kings after it was introduced. Even after Odin was introduced, which gave a chance at an EBody, we still camped kings because he didn't drop a Ridill and you could fight Nidd more often than Odin.
3. If you had actually read my whole post instead of cherrypicking stuff you'd see that I do mention making everything use pop items.
2. Blue Mage for example couldn't use Ridil or Ebody or anything the old kings dropped except for crimson, not even Zenith - Hence: "Which dropped better gear for far more people."
3. My response was specifically to the point that the "old HNM system" hasn't been as such for an extremely long time now and people who didn't play XI may get the wrong idea when SE has long since made changes to get away from stuff like this with the exception of Magian trials that targeted mostly useless NMs no one ever touched over the years.
Well originally that addon on XIVapp was to help people getting their bestiaries filled (Goobue in bloodshore anyone ?). There was nothing wrong with it, besides the fact that it's an illegal app. (not advertizing, just stating)
But the Twintania add-on, and now the hunt application just ruined everything. I wonder why the APP-developers still continue this. It's harming the game badly...
The "radar" only displays mobs in sight range. It's an advantage, sure, but not as much as people are claiming. The original image is a bit misleading in that way.It wouldn't be hard to find out who is using it. If you suspect someone, follow them around in an area, or party with them to keep track of their position. GMs could also make themselves invisible on the Hunt pop location when it spawns, and watch the trajectory of people running toward the location, it would be incredibly easy to catch someone running straight toward the monster when in reality they should be surprised for finding it. Also if the person shouts before hand etc.
Or just limit the amount of SoT you can get per week. I know someone who has been farming non stop and got like 5+ i110 pieces.
So long as the end-game progression for jobs revolves around item level and gear, this sort of thing will happen. Players want to progress as quickly and efficiently as possible. So instead of resorting to immersive play, these players resort to meta-gaming. Meta-gaming has its place in MMOs but it can also ruin other parts of the experience. So here we are with hunts, which as it is, is a nice feature, but has devolved into ridiculousness because some folks need their pixel fix now.now.now.Well originally that addon on XIVapp was to help people getting their bestiaries filled (Goobue in bloodshore anyone ?).
