I don't understand how there has been no dev response to this. There is a ton of blatent cheating going on -AGAIN- and nothing is being done about it.
Mew!
Probably mentioned somewhere earlier in the thread, but they had this issue in XI with the Voidwalker Notorious Monsters. I believe their solution in the end was to make the monster data server side so the client side can't read it. Still, if that's the case, you'd think they would've learned from that issue from XI and implemented a counter-measure here at launch of the event.
Oops.
Until hunts. There have been Zero reasons to use Radar. All monster locations, spawn points quest details, etc, are listed on database websites without use of third party tools. There are multiple videos for most popular activities.Since I am dealing with childish players, whom many of also use the APP but refuse to admit it, like the perfect little children they are, I shall now take leave of this thread. Say what you will of me, but this community is degrading into something worse than even that of League of Legends.
It was expressly stated by Yoshida himself not to divulge use of third party tools. (Note: I don't use them. I haven't found anything worthwhile in them to use them for in light of plenty of guides, databases, videos etc.) To do so, you have put your account at risk.
To use an illegally obtained gun as a can-opener does not forgive firing off the gun or owning the gun in the first place. Argue all you like, the use of third party tools is cheating. All who use it know the risk, and knows the advantages. This was one of the reasons why we should not have had content that could be contested among players, and it played out in a stereotypical manner.
OMG Hunt is no more a hunt lol
And this is the issue, no one told me about it, but everyone raged about this 'radar'. Now that I know the lodestone gives exact locations, I actually haven't touched the blasted thing until today after that event MONTHS ago. I wanted to see if they had managed to make it worse, and yet here I am under constant attack... But I digress.
Since I have found someone actually civilized, and not pointing fingers calling someone a blatant cheater, I'll say it again so people can see it. It is a SERIOUS issue now. Recent changes to the radar have made it so you can literally search for the exact mob, and with the information out there... They do need to fix it, just as they did XI.

Try posting it to the special task force:

On the drop menu there is an option for "use of third party software" so if you make them aware of it they may be able to do something about it.
Or better soon cause I know ALOT of people have 8 sands and so on. Yay, one in half weeks of release and they are pretty much CLOSE to finishing. And this is the issue, no one told me about it, but everyone raged about this 'radar'.
