Weird "1sec lag" every 3mins PLZ HELP!

Hey,

So as i said in the title, my game lag(not freeze) for 1sec every 3mins. By lagging, i mean suddently, everything is not moving, no dmg/healing number pops up, and then, one second later, everything just seems to flashed to where they r supposed to be.

My internet is great, im running this game on a pretty high-end alienware desktop, im using a wire directly to the modem, not wireless. i cant figure out what else is not prepared to let this happen.

I used to play a bard, but when i realize the entire raid is counting on my silence, i know i have to give it up and reroll some other class.

So please, whoever you are, if you are reading this, help me out or leave me some more infomation, thanks!

One option to try is to change the frame rate limit and seeing if that helps out. also, some times your isp may block ports that games use for communications, double check if FFXIV uses any proprietary ports and possibly forward them if you can access your modem's settings.

thx for the reply, for the first option, should i removed my fps limit? i thought fps setting only works if my screen is freezing(which is not), but i maybe wrong. and for the second option, how do i know which port is ff14 using? is it like a firewall that i just have to let ff14 go through? thx

Ports used are 443 and 54992-55551. may want to configure them in the router and in your firewall.
