    Forgotten guildhests

There is something I completely missed a while back in the game, and that was the first guildhest (Lv10), is there still a chance to do this through syncing, as my characters level is quite high? What do they involve me doing?

You use the duty finder. The game will automatically sync your level down.

I've known people who've made it to level 50 while completely missing Guildhests (which bites them in the rear when postgame story expects completion of a couple of them). If you haven't unlocked them, you'll need to go to an NPC in your starting city-state's surroundings for the first one (For instance, if you started in Ul'dah, the NPC is in Horizon)

When doing lower-level duties than your current level, you'll be level-sync'd - your current level (and equipment) will be temporarily set back down to a level appropriate to the content, including losing access to abilities learned later. You'll regain your levels, etc., when you return, and experience gained will still be kept. You also get an EXP bonus the first time you complete a Guildhest as a given class, and there's a daily roulette for Guildhests for an EXP bonus (or bonus seals if you're already at level 50)

Guildhests are very simple and short four-man 'mini-trials' intended to help teach different mechanics - from simple things like just engaging enemies with a party to dealing with reinforcement adds mid-battle to recognising non-marked AoEs or targetting control. They're generally not too difficult. There's 2 at every 5th level, stopping at level 40, for a total of 14 Guildhests to complete.
