Without fear of sounding too generic of a reply.

I haven't experienced any personal issues with losing threat on a mob (not stating it's not happening, just isn't to me as far as I can tell), but I do agree it's getting to the point now where I have to monitor my combo splits more effectively and can foresee in the next patch or two with further content ilvl increases it'll be an issue as PLD's will be outscaled.

Since BLM's potency increases, I've had to keep an eye on my enmity meter in the short term of a burst phase or something, (like T9 golems) but if I'm not with a tank that is vastly undergeared compared to me I haven't really noticed anything out of the ordinary.

I ran Tam Tara the other day in a low level roulette. I could barely let up otherwise the blm would steal threat. I was able to maintain it but couldn't mess up my rotation at all. Then I ran roulette yesterday on my blm, where I ended up getting Ifrit. I actually had to monitor my threat consistently otherwise I would pull.

I've been playing pretty much only Warrior since 2.3. i103 average with i100 weapon. Have PLD, but can't really comment on it.

Warrior has no noticeable difference since 2.3. 30 points in VIT and I switch between i70 crafted accessories (10 VIT/9 STR per piece) in easier content to full VIT for t6-8.

Someone earlier in thread mentioned losing target for no reason. I'm not sure how it happened for me, but 3x I switched from t8 Dreadguard as target to Avatar instead. This happened completely without my realizing it initially. Could have been I just mistakenly clicked on the screen while doing something else (and Avatar is covering most of screen at that point). Or could be like other person mentioned - though I kind of doubt it.

As for the DPS scaling up agro faster than tanks, that makes sense to me. Actually kind of awesome -- I like for that to matter again. But from what some others have been reporting it was very sudden and coinciding with this patch. So I'm thinking there may be more to it than that.

Now of course no on can prove anything here but to say SE could fck up some code is highly possible.

You know, I thought they just modified Shield Oath and Defiance, but it looks like they did increase enmity generation for Steel Cyclone (forgot it didn't have it before), and it says they increased Overpower enmity generation, as well.

I play both WAR and PLD, and I typically avoid running PLD in dungeons flat out because of lack of AoE hate tools. I mean flash works OK, but it's got nothing on Berserk/Unchained/Overpower spam.

Personally I think the amount of hate generated isn't a problem, but one thing the reddit thread discussed interest me - that hates seems to be updated too slowly.

This is something which I think I personally experienced. Engaged a new mob with a combo'd BB, or a pack of mob with overpower. Enmity bar shows "A" and enemy list have their icons listed as a square red which means I am the aggro holder. But these mobs still charged for the DPS/healer and took like 1-2s before coming back to me, which in all these while I am STILL the aggro holder

Not very frequently but it is just irritating when it happens.. made me look like a fool/noob tank

I Started Noticing the Problem about 4-5 Weeks into 2.2, Roughly around 2.25-2.28, Usually when people had 110 gear.. Maybe 1-2 Pieces but if i Wasn't Focusing on the Same Mobs as Melee DPS i'd Lose hate. Never usually have an Issue with BLM's... Steel Cyclone and Overpower Tends too be enough.. Tad Target though Mobs and Combo them in just too be Safe.

Sometimes insanity is the Only option.... Sanity Isn't the Norm, It's only what's Expected.
Insanity is the option that you can take as an Exit if you need too.

So what you actually say is that you can't hold hate when you are in a group of better geared DPS? Well it kind of does not seems like a "code" problem that should be fixed. This may be intentional for bump up the skill cap of the game. Shouldn't DPS watch out for his hate generation and lower it when it becomes too high?

So if you can't hold aggro by any means and your DPS blame you - just ask them to kindly watch over the hate meter and lower the DPS output when they hit the 85% or higher.

Sometimes when I was leveling PLD I was parried with lvl50 i90 i100 DPSes, even after syncing their DPS was superior and I had problems to keep the single target hate. And it's not like I was geared utterly bad, my gear was up to date all the time (especially a weapon which i bought from Market / Maelstorm or I obtained from dungeons). DPS needs to learn their role as well.

I shouldn't steal hate from tank only because I'm able to.

Of course DPS should watch their enmity level, but it's about difference in how enmity reacts nowadays.
We are rather discussing a case where tank is as well equipped as DPS and prior to 2.3 had quite some lead in hate (let's say half of the hate bar), after the change it seems to be on the edge of loosing hate in some scenarios while doing the very same thing as before.

I've been running couple of dungs with my folks to verify if it was one time scenario previously as after many many runs with them I have a feeling on how the hate stays and when I should do what. Enmity builds kinda odd in my opinion :/
Feels like an unintended change with the patch, same as lack of response from pets to commands (smash this button, smash it!)
