    I had some issues keeping hate from the Monk and BLM that I rank through SV HM with the other day, but I'm sitting at around 85 ilvl, and they were both all ilvl 100 gear, so it's rather understandable.

    Not sure if there's any truth to this issue overall, or if it's just that dps are 'way' overgeared for these ilvl 70 req dungeons.

    I've never run into the problem myself, but I think the main issue comes from the increasing discrepancy in attack power between [standard] tanks and dps. Each ilvl increase is giving dps a much larger increase in AP than the standard vit build tank, and their enmity modifiers just can't keep up with the difference in damage output. If Tanks' AP was to be modified by vit rather than str, this wouldn't be an issue and tanking accessories would be as powerful as their dps/healing counterparts.

    I've been noticing that's it's been a lot harder for me to take a mob back if someone pulls hate. I main WAR and I can spam BB combo several times and still have trouble keeping the mob. Happens more in groups though, so I just figured my OP was positioned badly.

    @Angel: I stacked 30 STR and still have occasional issues with enmity.

    This is judging from your current lodestone profile, but it would make sense why you may have issues holding hate if going up against i80+ dps; I'm sorry, but ~20+ ilevels of difference will definitely stand out and even loading 30 attribute points into str won't make much difference [while also using vit accessories].

    Tanks' enmity multiplier should be able to handle the damage <> hate out-put of similarly geared dps, but with FFXIV's current model it seems like dps' damage <> hate growth will surpass tanks' hate multipliers sooner or later without planned stat cutbacks.

    Reapplying Shield Oath manually might fix the problem. If you're losing threat to a BLM, you'll have to learn how to play around the potency buffs they got.

    I main WAR and haven't had a single issue. The few times I've done anything as a PLD this patch (hunts mostly), I only lose enmity to a better geared tank.

    Hmm I had a similar but different problem in SV yesterday, in the final boss the whm decided to pull before I could get a shield lob off, ane even though I instantly pulled hate and all aggro bars showed me as top, he just continually went for the white mage as if he had top emnity.

    This is normal enemy behavior; once an action is qued against one player, it is executed regardless of who has hate [unless interrupted].

    I have not had any issues, my sets PLD has had some issues (only to my WAR, but I out gear our PLD now so thats expected)

    2.3 changed the normal behavior of mobs as they spawn. I have seen this significantly in coil2. Turn 6, if i run to the side with the boss as soon as leafstorm is cast, the 3 slugs spawn and even though the PLD instantly flashes them they run to me, hit me once then run back. Turn 7, my brd stands very close to the N add in the frst set, he never once was attacked before 2.3 but now every time it hits him once. The 2nd add often runs to the healer or kiter and hits them once even though i attack it instantly, same with the 3rd and the final add.

    this running to the initial agro target and then back to tank even if tank hits them before the are close enough to queue a move does make it a little harder to get them grouped and land your flash/OP on all mobs which can lead to more threat issues, if your not aware of this changed behavior.

    That is the mechanic of that fight, they can not be tanked. Dodge-tastic
