Rewarding the HUNTERS is something I agree with. Rewarding those who are using third-party tools to instantly see all enemies in a zone and their loactions, then zerging the hunts is NOT something I agree with.So you're saying that, after I've spent an hour or more scouring areas to find a mark, I should wait on strangers who were doing something completely different to drop everything and saunter on over so that they can get some free stuff, at my own expense? No; the hunt should reward hunters, not the scavengers that follow in their wake.
Unfortunately there's not much SE can do about that without heavily reprogramming the engine. The entire zone is loaded into the client, and that data can be read without the server picking it up. It's a real shame; there's abusing the system, and then there's outright cheating.

I know, it's just plain frustrating. It's almost as bad as the FATE trains, except that FATEs actually showed on the map. Having a crowd of people, from the same FC/LS mind, just waiting at camp, then suddenly turn on their heels and stampede over across the map before anything is called out or anyone else reacting...It's so blatantly cheating.Unfortunately there's not much SE can do about that without heavily reprogramming the engine. No it isn't. The point of the hunts is to hunt. The low HP obviously means you aren't supposed to call half the server to help. Kill it yourself or with a small group. The implementation isn't the problem, it's the playerbase trying to make it something it's not.

So yea, needing 3 Weeks to finally find the weekly monster?
Thats poor design, sorry, but it is...
Luckily the server is currently helping but same as Odin and Behemoth it will fade away which makes it impossible to find them any more...
Once again SE expect us to do 24/7 only one kind of content while we are forced to do not do any other content!
Same as Chocobo training while we are waiting for DF ...

Mmhmm. Not cheating whatsoever. Uh-huh.
My point is that if you DO hunt, good, you deserve the reward for getting the kill. If you don't hunt, and use an app to do it for you, you're as good as a RMT ruining the economy.

And I never thought I'd see the day when someone would find a screenshot of this shit. This is why I quit doing hunts. People are cheating and getting away with it. I knew it, and I know one entire small free company is using this to find them.
There is this group of botters that were in hiding spiritbonding in a cave. They figured they weren't gonna get banned and now they are outside of a camp in outer la noscea.
Square, please have 24 hour game managers who find they cheaters. This is out of control.

You realize that right? They didn't understand you were trying to imply those people could have only found it via cheating. Further these people are out there in the world, and I don't think all of them are using radar.
In your own link it said that these people can't see mobs outside of their range of view. Probably what your image is showing is mobs that were picked up by the program when they were in range of view and stayed marked as he walked away. People are not using these programs to detect a spawn from across the zone or at least you haven't reliably demonstrated that.

Just going to note that the client actually only has access to things within a certain range of you; you do not have the entire zone of mobs cached unless the zone is extremely small. To toe further around these types technical details is iffy discussion at best so I'm going to stop there.Unfortunately there's not much SE can do about that without heavily reprogramming the engine. The reason why you see all of the players suddenly storming toward one spot is that every server has multiple hunting Linkshells all inter-networked with each other. So if one player sees an elite mark, and calls it in shout, or to their LS, that gets sent to several other linkshells. That's also why these players are late to the kill so often.
