-Rank B monsters are the easiest monsters, aye? What if someone can't beat an A or S-rank monster? Then we get a bunch of folks who complain about how hard they are. I don't see the issue with B-Rank Monsters at all, though I would argue that there should be a Rank C and D, and that every single hunt should shift down two ranks to accomodate future content updates.

-Adding more monsters would be a valid way of expanding things.

-Here's the thing, short and simple. People don't like doing Leves. That's the reason FATEs exist from 2.0 onwards when they did not exist prior to that, but people also don't like doing FATEs anymore (for some reason that eludes me despite outcry for more open world content). If Hunts became like Leves, then we'd be going back to that same issue of it not being "real" open world content.

-I agree that the prices are skewed for gear based on ilvl. I look at it as that AF2 gear has been out since 2.0, people have had almost a full year to get it, but the i70 gear, which is almost purely just going to be used for glamour anyway, is brand new with a totally unique style. Ergo, new stuff gets more expensive even though it's weaker. Though with time, those prices will either drop, the amount of allied seals earned through hunts will be increased, there will be other methods of earning allied seals, and/or all of the above. If you were to talk to people in 2.0 about alternate ways to get i90 gear, they'd look at you as if you had two heads, "Don't be stupid, SE would never make another vendor to give out i90 gear!" But they did, apparently, and while I don't agree with it, it doesn't change the fact that it exists now.

I'll repeat myself. I think the system is good. Do I think the system is great? No. Otherwise I wouldn't be complaining about it. Do I think the system is bad? No. Otherwise, I would be demanding for its removal from the game. For a system to be bad, it would not only have to be incompotent to player progress, but actively impede said progress by forcing players to go through it to achieve something that is ultimately worthless to any kind of player progression other than to get to the next part of the endgame, without providing anything good.

Example of great content (Content that needs little or no tweaking): Frontlines, Crafting, Gathering, Housing, Gardening, Chocobo Raising, A Relic Reborn, Zenith Relics, Novus Relics

Example of good content (Content that is alright, but needs a fair bit of tweaking to get better): Leves, FATEs, Hunts, Crystal Tower, Animus Relics

Example of bad content (Content that should not be in the game): Atma Relics

That's my scale. If you're telling me that it is worse than a good system, then I interpret it as you saying that Hunts are in the same category of badness as atma farming. And I just don't think that's right.
