    Hunts: There is no problem with design.

    After looking at the prices of hunts, and correlating them with every other bit of content I have personally come to the conclusion there is nothing wrong with the design much at all.

    Seals
    Weapon cost: 1,740
    Gear cost: 1,000 for Body/pants
    Sand Book cost: 250 (need 3 i believe to obtain 1 oil so 750 total.)
    Alexandrite cost: 200


    With these numbers, then looking at the cost of other items in game, such as a soldiery weapon, a soldiery body piece, and the weekly lock out for CT2 and Coil, as well as the rate a casual player could obtain 800 mythology, the numbers line up perfectly.

    it takes roughly:

    Soldiery

    Soldiery weapon: 130x10=1,300 450.3=1,350 total= 3 weeks
    Soldiery gear: 825, at 450/week,= 2 weeks
    Sand: Drops from turn 8, 1 week lock out. BUT only 1 player per raid. (so not every player can obtain a sand per week. only 1/8 players.)
    Alexandrite: 100 myth per dungeon. 5 dungeons per day (or less) roughly 2-3 days to obtain an alexandrite map.


    Conclusion:

    Players should be obtaining roughly 85-90 Seals per day.

    So you must do your daily, then find about 15 rank B marks, or 4 rank A marks per day.
    Or some other variance of those two numbers.

    The issue here is clearly over 50% of high populated servers player base is hunting and once found call to the other 50% to converge on the mob thus resulting in less credit per player, and lower number seals per kill..


    Two ways SE can address this improper balance of players inconsistency of play style, is to either:

    1. Temporarily increase daily rewards from individual hunts until the player base stops crowding over 1 bit of content.
    2. Adjust the Mobs health per encounter to compensate the mass influx on a single mob.
    3. Temporarily increase the spawn rates.

    4. Any action taken on the mob such as even 1 auto attack grats full credit to the player.

    The GC gear which is essentially for Vanity / Alt Jobs is vastly overpriced in comparison to the rest of the gear. 5600 seals to gear up 1 job in i70 vs what 200 to gear up a complete job in i90? wtf? if anything it should have been the other way around.

    What world are you living in where it only costs 200 for a full set of i90 gear?

    Most pricey item is body and pants at 40 allied seals, majority is just 20 seals

    It actually was fun right after the servers came back up and before the zergs started forming.. its just over-farmed to hell atm. :|

    In a way reminds me of FATEs at launch before they hit them with the nerf bat for XP.

    The problem doesn't lie with the system itself, it's over-camping and low HP mobs. Part of it is SE fault and the other is the players.

    It's either:

    A) Wait for it to die down ( if ever lol)
    B) Raise the HP, in hopes people still do it and not abandon it leaving it to be Very Hard for even a 8 man team to bring down at a reasonable amount of time.

    Elites are meant to be down with a group of 8 people not 200 people lol.

    It's hard to balance overworld activities due to anyone can join in.

    How are you going to say there's no issue with design and then literally in your post describe and issue with design and how it can be remedied? It's obviously a design issue for them to put Sands and Oils on one single vendor locked behind a single event. You can focus on semantics all you want because you think people are 'attacking hunts' or whatever, but it's definitely a design issue. Whether you want to classify it as an issue with Hunts or an issue with everything else is your opinion.

    It's great you're having a lot of fun rolling in seals with your class on your linkshell and on your server. However it's obvious there is way too much variance in individual experience based on class and server. Some people never have a problem getting credit while others do. The only solution is to put the stupid Sands on more vendors or take them off the seals vendor.

    Getting huge rewards for little effort is always fun, sure. However turning this into more of a loot pinata is not a responsible choice and I really hope SE doesn't go in that direction. Increasing mob health is going to turn these into arduous affairs with 200 or more people at even A level mobs. It will actually make the existing issues worse not better.

    This is such a meaningless distinction. Putting rewards that the entire level capped player base will desperately want behind a system that lends itself to zerging is LITERALLY a design flaw. You cannot just blame players for this one. It should have been obvious how people would behave to get these Sands.

    EDIT: Blaming the player base for a lack of foresight with regards to the implementation of hunts is like entrapment, and I really hope I don't see anyone from SE spouting that sort of crap.

    I just beat Naul with 9 people and he wasn't alive long enough to even hear the battle music get started. I think elite marks really need to have their HP raised because at the moment "elite" simply means "odd spawn time", not "more powerful monster." They need to be able to withstand assault from at least 2 full parties for more than 30 seconds if they're going to be an open-world elite NM.

    However, I'm still super glad that we have more non-instanced content and I will take this system over FATE and dungeon grinding any day!
