Best way to enter a camp/settlement/town!!!!

Okay, someone posted this quite recently on another thread about...
something or another. Don't really remember, got to excited.

/Sign or like this if you want to see this implemented!

(Edit: it was about rewarding SP to traveling places, dont agree with that. Just the below quoted)

Picture this. You walk up to a node and touch it, the Echo triggers, sending you flashing back many years ago. You see a Lalafell and Elezen peacefully fishing side-by-side. The Lalafell gets a tug on his line, and starts pulling up. After struggling for a moment, he pulls up a large carp, smiling wide. The Elezen looks at him with a smirk. He feels a tug on his line, and pulls it up quick, eager to surpass his friend and rival's catch, but is dismayed to find a guppy. The Lalafell's laughter is cut short when the animals go quiet, and the earth starts shaking from heavy machinery. Trees are pushed aside as Garlean Magitek stomps into the clearing, spewing smoke and causing the Lalafell and Elezen to drop their poles and run in fear. But it's too late - as they stumble backwards, the Magitek's laser focuses in on them, right before it fires, the screen goes black.

You have arrived in Murmur Rills.
Find Enoa's missing fishing pole, so that his wife may finally rest, knowing her husband is gone.

(Complete objective)

You have obtained 1,000 SP."

THIS is what I would like to see when entering camps, towns, and settlements.
It would just add flavor and life and more content alongside a nice intro
All of the CS's don't need to be movie quality, but i'd say for zones they should be more
detailed and maybe even voice acted. And not all intro's necessarily mean a quest.
Possibly just some intros are just that - a CS intro.

Would have to be careful to not over do it though.
Do it for each zone, small city, and maybe a few camps/settlements.
When you enter a zone and walk within towns/settlements the Echo starts as you walk into the area.
And alongside SP, maybe get the said piece of equipment/item that the quest is asking for if there was quest. If there was a quest to begin with that is.

I'm more in favor of short CS's for zones/small towns to introduce it and have the name
go across the screen like KH.

Examples:

like this, but much shorter.

beginning of that clip would be perfect for going to Ala Mihgo or what not.
something of that nature.

I mean they even have an example of it already in the game.

Def all credit to quantumsaint!

This... would be pretty damn cool, actually. Anything to flesh out their world more is definitely something I'd welcome =)

Agreed! If this was implemented, I think it would definitely give people more initiative to explore and maybe become connected with said place.

I like how the guy you quoted said this could be easily done. Can anything be easily done by the dev team?

Well, it was relatively easy for them to put dungeon cut scenes together right?
Doesn't have to be voice acted or anything. But sounds, yes.

lol true. I guess it wouldn't be THAT hard, as long as they are simple. The dungeon cutscenes are nothing but mobs being mobs and a camera panning around. Once you start talking about large machines knocking down trees and whatnot, that is when we are getting into "probably not going to happen" territory.

I think they should just save the good cinema resources for when they implement new zones.
That would be much more realistic. And use the not so exciting cs's for camps/towns/settlements.

Sounds fun, but a lot of effort for a feature like this. Animating is not easy, even if the tools are good.

In long-term they could probably do this, at least for the hamlets. Perhaps even some public dungeons. With simple animations, walking around, modifying existing emotes etc.
