I Couldn't Help But Laugh

So I figured I'd try to start a positive thread about some of those more light-hearted FFXIV moments.

What are some of the moments in FFXIV that you've experienced that you couldn't help but laugh out loud?

For me, one such moment happened last night. I was in a Skype call with some FC members and one of my friends tells us in the call, "hey guys, quick, meet me at Camp Overlook". So we port there and he tells us "Ok, stand outside and watch the stairs!" So we stand just outside the gate and watch the stairs as told. All of a sudden, the song "Where the Hood At" by DMX starts playing over the Skype Call, and our friend comes gliding up the stairs in his new Bomb Palanquin. Well all of us just cracked up! It was so unexpected and easily one of the funniest things that's happened in-game for me in a while.

So what about the rest of you? What's happened lately in the game that you just couldn't help but laugh at?

Note: I'm REALLY trying to keep this a positive thread, so please keep any "I laughed at the ATMA drop rate"-type comments to yourself please! Let's keep it light-hearted!

I had a really fun run in castrum once
Everyone was like "okay guys let's make this the fastest run ever" and everyone was basically just messing about, dps aggroing whatever they could, and no one even used the cannons and then suddenly someone realized "shit what do we do now we're gonna wipe" and a really funny guy playing a blm, instantly uses LB on all of them and then he's like "quick next group we must beat the world record" and the atmosphere in the group was really fun.
I don't know if we had any new players in out group but if we did I'm sure he enjoyed his first level 50 dungeon

I actually met the person I play the most with in haukke manor doing a duty roulette, and he showed me something that made me laugh so hard.

I just tracked down a treasure location and as I stood verifying the location, a Lalafell targeted me and said "Gimme 5 gil or I'll stick ya!". The image of him bouncing mad around me was hysterical and mad my entire day better so I hit him with a trade of 50,000 gil and a request. My request was for him to find 7 other Lalafells and run a "hit" on our FC. Show up and cause what ever chaos they like! To which I woukd pay them plenty... Three days later, our FC chat went off... "WTH.?! EVERYBODY GET TO THE HOUSE IMMEDIATELY! OUR HOUSE IS FULL OF LALAFELLS!!!"

Well, needless to say it was worth the expense. Seeing so many little people running a muck and causing so much confusion in our FC house. Priceless!

And I forgot to mention, when I first met him and did the trade... I resumed my treasure map dig not realizing I was still set as my Miner! So that Lalafell stood their clapping me on as I proceeded to fight, AND win the chest as a freaking miner, lol. He must have thought I was a crazy person...

Last night I was continuing on with my story. *SPOILER* I just completed the Siren boss, FFVIII FTW!** Anyways, after that boss my health was pretty low, so of course some undead start insta-attacking me. when out of no where some random comes running my way and he has got a massive amount of mandragora chasing him AND undead AND a few Mantis. At first I was like, "WTF am I seeing?" (This was my first time seeing the mandragora) Then I realize the guy needs some help, so being the monk I am I start punching them in the face. Garlic/Onion/etc. so freaking cute, but my health is low and so is the random's. The undead, the mandragora, the Mantis, the low health. I was trying to summon my trusty chocobo but just did not have time. Then ANOTHER guy joins in, we are all running around just collecting a mob. I am pretty sure we are all doomed, damned by these adorable little plants. I am trying to focus on getting the proper rotation but I cannot stop laughing.

It takes us FOREVER to get a hold on the situation, but them BAM! We are in sync. We aren't even targeting enemies, but somehow we all know what one to attack and when. It is an unspoken agreement between the 3 of us that we are going to kill everything!

AND WE DO!

Man, it was just awesome. We bowed and went our separate ways. No one ever said a single word, and yet somehow it has been one of my favorite moments in this game.

Turn 7, just started, I get one of the first three voices (I'm on sch), so I turn away... oh look dps got hit off circle blade, better physick...
Mumble:
'Who just petrified everyone?'
'...might have forgot to turn off auto-face target. Whooops!'

I also got really confused and got mocked over mumble because I thought we had two drinking Apkullus in our fc house, it was just one of my friends moving the one we had around >.> in my defense it was like nearly 2am and I was tired! D:

Once I was in Coil Turn 1 - one of the party members didn’t understand what a sac pull was and tried to heal the Tank… everyone got involved and it ended in an utter mess with everyone wiping except me… I don’t like to die so I ran and ran and ran… I ran all the way back to ADS battle area where everyone had respawned and as I ran past … my FC friend said hey “Onion where you going??”… then they turned the corner and saw the army of mobs running towards her ...“Holy F#@%!!! Everyone RUNNNN!!! Onion what have you Done!!!”

It ended with the whole party being massacred by the mobs I had trained back to the start, thankfully everyone saw the funny side of it and had a good laugh.

Our lalafell only ls banned together to do coil t2. But we couldn't find another dps to go with us. So we duty find the other dps and lo and behold we get a CAT for our dps extra. So we're all running around making jokes, doing the maderville, being cute, just acting like lalafells. We all have a ball and soon find out that the extra dps is on our world. She then changes to lalafell (master race) and is added to our ls. But after a week she changes back and is a CAT but is still in our ls as our slave.! Mwaahahahaa!

When treasure hunting was added, some from my FC went together to do a peisteskin map. We didn't figure it'd be difficult or anything, just fun, so we went wearing silly things like snowman suits and using off classes. After taking a bunch of screenshots of the group, we open the chest and "@0@ OMG WHAT JUST HAPPENED??!" We wiped on the tree + zerg trees fight. XD

I would guess that pretty much anyone went "wut... DDD:" upon the first time seeing chimera appear when opening a treasure chest. XDDD

I was in Tam-Tara HM with two friends of mine I've just met, and a pretty fly miqo'te from duty finder. We were just taking it slow, reading all of the notes, and enjoying ourselves.

At one point, to tease my tank friend, I said,
"And now is the part...WHERE I LET YOU DIE!"
I was joking, of course. But while I was busy /laugh ing evilly, he actually DID die! I couldn't believe it! I apologized profusely for not healing him and attempted to explain what just happened, but he wasn't buying it. I felt so bad!

o_o What made the situation all the more amusing was the fact that I suddenly understood how Edda felt. I was basically Edda. o_o

...Later he revealed to me that he had intentionally used the wrong move on the mobs to get himself killed, just to teach me a lesson. I was like, "You set me up!". Ha ha ha.

Fun times.
