    Please, no more crafting mats from dungeon bosses D:

    Topic.

    Please, for Hydaelyn's sake, remove old phil tome crafting materials from dungeon boss coffers and place them in regular coffers at a moderately low drop rate (similar to furnishing mats).

    It is really, really upsetting to enter the heart of darkness to risk life and limb to defeat a big bad ugly to only be rewarded with an item that sells for 2k (if you're lucky) or 4 gil (if you're not, looking at you Cooking Sherry).

    According to official loot tables on Lodestone, 11 of 19 loot possibilities from 2.2 and 2.3 dungeon bosses are crafting materials.

    That's a just under 58% chance of not getting a gear drop. That really has to change.
    There is already an alternative way to get crafting materials: GC seals. But the only way to get 2.2 and 2.3 gear drops is by defeating 2.2 and 2.3 dungeon bosses.

    SE has made changes in response to community feedback before, so who's with me?

    I think it's rather disheartening. If they want to give crafters a reward, here is an idea. Crafting dungeons. Dungeons that you do just for crafting material. I hate it when I'm trying to gear up and I get stupid cooking sherry as a reward.

    They should just move the items to the junk chests scattered throughout. I'm sure people won't mind losing out on an ether or potion here and there.

    I've got to agree, ran all three new dungeons, not a single end boss dropped a piece of gear, just crafting mats.

    Or you know, they shouldn't have gotten rid of Hamlet Defense, but I guess that wouldn't fit in with the 4 man only route yoshida wanted.

    First boss in SV, dropped void blood, second boss both chests had water, final boss we got animal fat..
    An absolute joke that needs changed, this isn't a new thing since Brayflox etc had the same issues

    I feel like they're trolling us. Ran 2 of the new dungeons yesterday with my undergeared WHM to up that ilv a bit and all I had in the end was a coke. I have no idea what Yoshi is trying to tell us. Is he trying to discourage us from running dungeons for alt gear? Should myth be the only way? Crafting mats on dungeons is a nice idea and all but it completely defeats the purpose when the market is overflooded with them. Shouldn't they be a bit rare?

    It felt like I was a gatherer class and gathering crap nobody wants.

    3 runs of Tam Tara hard, almost all the chest from all 3 runs drop crafting mats, only 2 was gear. Come on I run them for the new gear not crafting mats. It's seriously demotivating.
