Banner Flags for PvP in the future

In the cutscenes and concept art we see Grand Company Flags/banners while riding on chocobos. Has there ever been any info on adding these flags for us to carry into battle?



would be neat if they could be used in PVP frontlines as a consumable like battle standard, giving varies bonuses, such as increased mount speed for party members in range, increased resistance to heavy/slow while mounted, or other things.

It would be a pretty cool idea but if it was ever put in I think it should be limited to only 1 person being able to have it out per party.
It would make no sense otherwise as your flags in battlefields were supposed to be used to identify specific units from a distance.
They were also historically used to boost morale... but since the stat morale is useless in frontlines I don't think that's really worth mentioning xD

Didn't they originally say that crafters/gatherers would be able to join in on frontlines pvp a long time ago? I think they would be the main ones who would really make any sense as to having these. In battles the flag carriers were almost useless in actual combat and were there purely for support.
Be cool if crafters or gatherers could carry a flag and pass out buffs to support their party.
