God, yes! That's the kind of fight I was expecting. Tough mobs requiring some degree of skill and organisation to beat (being open world does not prevent them having some meaningful mechanics). Instead we got 30 second zerg-fests.
Making them stronger/with more HP would only turn them even more into another Odin, which I'm already staying away from because it's simply impossible to even come close to.
Make them spawnable 24-men content that's exclusive to those who spawn it, like leves. To spawn it, you have to use 3 key items at roughly the same time (what they are and how you get them is part of the hunt). Whoever's in a party with the person who used the items is eligible for the fight and can't get another key item, but can still join someone else's party and fight the mark again.
Open world just doesn't work.
I actually thought that daily hunt would be a single monster in the field like the bear in the trailer only you could attack(like a leve) and elite were forced popped along the line of Kirin and the Sky Gods, P. Warden and the Sea Jailers and AV.
I agree they need way more HP. I was the first person at a mark just before, I waited, then as soon as it was in shout chat, 100 people turned up, and it was down in seconds, I barely got any credit. Make them able to handle so many people attacking them for longer.
Rather than scaling HP, I'd suggest the following:
Scale the DPS of the particitipating players in such manner, that the marks live roughly the same time always independent of the player count attacking the mob. For example: B-Marks always need roughly 3 minutes, A-Marks 7 minutes and S-Marks 11 minutes to be killed after first engage and scale the DPS accordingly with players joining. This should be made with a minimum threshold, thus 1 player alone can't kill a S-Mark of course.
I wouldn't mind a bit of waiting nothing crazy,
B ranks are whatever they die too fast anyway
AT LEAST 1 min wait time for A ranks (I know this is dumb anyway since render problems with too many people, too much DPS, etc)
S ranks, I don't know wait till there is enough people, which they generally do now
as soon as maintenance went down I decided on doing some hunting (tonberry) and i just spent a about a hour and a half finding nothing and going places only to find out that they have been insta pulled and killed by whomever is there i know some of them were B ranks and some were A and I don't care much if i miss a B rank but its really annoying after a point of not getting anything
I wouldn't mind doing daily hunts if they paid more then 1 per, and 2 per fate boss only giving a total of 7 a day
It just feels like the hunt system need to be reworked, mainly because of some of the items they are offering
The only two major changes I would make right now:
1) Give the marks more HP in general and scale it up as needed in real-time.
2) Give the marks an 'announce' option. Doing this would send out a map-wide shout with the coordinates and 'claim' the mark, giving the announcer full credit when the mark is killed regardless of resets or whatever without needing to trigger the aggro before anyone else arrives. Everyone else would still get credit according to their contribution.
Rewards should stay as is. I decided to pretty much steer clear of dungeons and instances as it stands, and that pretty much meant an end to getting anything of interest in this game in its prior form (No idea why I did ATMA with the myth barrier that comes after). So it's nice to actually be able to get tomestones at a good rate elsewhere now. Sands and Oils will be a bonus (after I get my Succubus), and I'm honestly glad to see stuff like that lose its exclusivity. If anything, give more options to acquire them. :-3
At the time they are gonna start re-evaluating the system it will be to late. They should just remove the lockouts from the content that rewards similar stuff (Second Coil and Syrcus Tower) and live with the damage that is already done.
That way the people would split up and not zerg the only content where they can farm Sands and Oils on a daily base.

I don't see why there are so many people screaming for changes to hunts. I honestly think they are perfect minus two things. HP and Ease to get oil/sand
The B rank should have A rank hp. The A rank should have S rank hp and the S rank should have double its current. I honestly think this will handle a lot of issues.
Oil and Sands @ 750 is pretty damn low. I'm not this guy who is trying to hold down the people who cant beat t7 and t8 but shit it basically falling outta the sky now. My FC mate, who does raid and cleared 6/7/8 now has 3 sands in his possession. W T F
Put a once a week cooldown on that or raise the price. Books drop from A+ marks which are 1/3 the cost of them

I think the feature was intended to be just another casual activity that provides tomes and additional pathways to iLvl 50+ items. Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of open-world content that awards tomes (with the exception of beastman dailies).
Unfortunately, it is just another case of meta-gaming winning out over immersive gaming. Can't blame the devs per say.... MMOgamers tend to prefer the fastest/efficient route at the cost of immersion.
