Best current method for leveling Choco Companion and Lv. 20?

Is the best place to level your Chocobo companion still at the one spot where all the water sprites and Odin spawn? I am almost done with the MQ and I am looking into levelin my companion, but not sure where to go since there is scarce the info on the topic.

Also, has anyone reached level 20 yet on theirs? or did that not get implemented in the game yet?

Why is it so hard to find info on all this stuff about chocobos?

I haven't seen anyone that has found out how to get a Thav. onion to raise the cap, let alone level them up that much sense. It could be that a Thav. onion seed requires crossbreeding (more than one generation most likely) and as such, no one has found out a way to get one yet.

Er. Because this patch was just implemented a few days ago and nobody's figured it out yet.

Previously, companions maxed out at level 10.

I wonder if there is a clue here: A pungent, tear-inducing vegetable that thrives in the alkali sands of Near Eastern Thavnair. While typically avoided by the five races, it is a favorite amongst chocobos.

I so want that onion!... Once I get one, I'll be unlocking my second armor set, already got the wht mage and really want the knights armor. Getting to level 11, never happen...

the gardeners found how to make them, now it's just a matter of time before they proliferate the market. can't wait till it's cheap to keep chocobo stables constantly clean

btw, atma grinding with your chocobo and training them every hour is the fastest way i've found that still does relevant things.
