Idea for improving duty and party finder

After a long day of trying to clear prior content it's obvious that players are simply gearing a class with the abundant myth tombs and then queing for fights without practical knowledge.

being addressed by adding the echo boost and adding gear even still ff14 requires a level of skill and steep learning curve per group.

I think it would behove all players by
(a couple of months prior to new content)

Adding a simulation of the mechanics expected of your class for the extreme fights. Players MUST complete the simulation WEEKLY to unlock the fights for duty finder and party finder.
this will re-teach classes people with to pick back up, and create overall smoother runs/less headache for everyone involved.
+after a break or leveling other classes when new content comes out not everyone wishes to re-do and help others clear, for HOURS.

basically this all comes down to ... "give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish feed him for life"

my whole point was watching videos doesn't cut it for people who are unable to get clearing experience...while having a test dummy mimic the movements and aoes of bosses will help classes move and time rotations for phases...something most don't get any other way than wiping for hours then having to ask a free company to get a group together for all members who need the clear.

If more people of similar skills could do duty finder then it would be a much more pleasant experience, hopefully one day making content smooth...if you need something que for it most players being on the same page will clear it...no problem move on unlock content so you can start playing with a wider range of players...than having skill but waiting for a clear to meet with friends because of PF/DF issues.

I think this is a little extreme. It sounds very elitist. Yes random PUGs on DF do suck sometimes, but it's not as widespread as you make it sound. You're always going to have at least one person in a PUG that doesn't know what they're doing or isn't very good at their job. You help them and explain to them how to improve and they either take your advice and things get better, or they ignore it and they are just some person who doesn't want to be better. You can't force people into a certain standard of play because you are inconvenienced sometimes on DF.

While I don't think the idea is very solid, an arena to practice bosses may be a good idea. Perhaps have it use NPCs that excel at their role to let you practice. Maybe even an option to skip to given phases. I would not make it a requirement however.

So how would Ifrit Arena be different from Ifrit Actual. If they are both the same then just go do Ifrit.

Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs
