Hunts unplayable on PS3 in many cases

Yeah, so...I'm sure the dev team realized this would be an issue before even implementing the hunt, but PS3 players are at a gigantic disadvantage in hunts, just like with Behemoth and Odin previously.

The loading into zones already gives PC/PS4 players a gigantic advantage to reaching their hunt, and the HP drops far too fast upon pull for us to even hope to catch up when someone inevitably doesn't wait for others and pulls the monster. In addition, S rank hunts are just completely unplayable--upon reaching an S hunt BEFORE the monster was pulled to it being killed, none of the PS3 players I know in the group were able to see the monster.

This was annoying with Odin and Behemoth, but at least they dropped items mainly used for cosmetic features. In the case of the hunt, which rewards oils, sands and alexandrites large group of the player base is at both a severe and insurmountable disadvantage for some of the game's best gear.

The visibility issue isn't just a PS3 thing. With enough people, even high end PC players have to get lucky to see the S ranks, anyone telling you otherwise has got to be on a low population server. Over on Exodus we had Croakadile disappear for almost everyone as more people showed up.

You have no clue what you are talking about. Absolutely no clue. I started playing this game on PS3, and whenever I went to Odin, it took at least 20-30 seconds until it spawned. What is more, I could not see other players, just a huge lag fest and 95% of the people in there would be invisible for me. When I upgraded the game into the PS4 the situation changed DRAMATICALLY. I've never had any issues seeing Odin, Behemoth or any S rank monster. Don't say it's not a PS3 thing, because it freaking is.

Now I'm not saying your Croakadile didn't disappear and even PC players could not see it, but maybe there were 700 players in there and it was too much even for a PC/PS4 player. But for a PS3 user you don't need more than 100 players for a massive lagfest and stuff disappearing. You can handle hundreds of players with the PS4 just fine unless it's something very extreme.

Learn to read too. In the PS3 maybe you can't see a boss with just 100-150 players hitting it. In the PC/PS4 maybe you'd probably need well over 700-1000. How does that even compare?
Look I've been on both platforms, on PS3 and PS4 (can you say the same?), so I can state FACTS, and FACT is something is UNPLAYABLE on the PS3 when a lot of people gather in on point to hit something. Hell I wasn't even able to see like 95% of the people gathered in Mor Dhona when I was playing on my PS3, and when I upgraded to PS4 the entire place was FLOODED with people.
Again, don't even open your mouth if you haven't even tried the PS3 version.

The main idea is that PS3 truly can't handle big fates and most likely nm hunts. I started playing FF on PS3 and it is true that sometimes PS3 player has to wait 30 sec watching others attacking, dying etc before the monster itself spawn in his/her screen. After that there usually is 5-10 more seconds until ground aoe start to show up properly.
After getting PS4 I at least see the monster spawn instantly though in Odin fate he usually teleport on my screen.

    edit:
and yes - on PS3 Mor Dhona looks like deserted place with couple people standing there while on PS4 it is always crowded.

    Thank you.

It's definitely worse on PS3, as you can hit that limit more easily, but the issues causing it exist for all platforms. All I keep pointing out is there's a fundamental flaw in how the game deals with hitting its render limit, which, when you hit that level, affects all platforms - that being that it doesn't render monsters and party members before everyone else. Even PS3 users probably wouldn't have much trouble participating if this was fixed properly.

I also play on PS3, and while it's definitely worse, there are underlying issues that can affect any platform if they're left unchecked, all it takes is primetime on a heavily populated server like Exodus.

Ok, I'm done here. You refuse to understand. You keep comparing PC/PS4 to PS3 as if they belonged to the same group when they clearly don't.

PC/PS4 = If the monster disappears it's becase you literally have 80% of the server in the same pixel.

PS3 = even CT with 24 players lags.

You want to put both platforms in the same sack? Sure go ahead and do it, but they are clearly not. Have a nice day.

Yes, unfortunately the game does not prioritize the enemies over players or other entities, so the marks will sometimes fade in and out.

But hey, at least you can still see those 10 Garuda-egi!

    Buy a ps4.
I know that's the "troll" answer, but it's also the most obvious one.

I've had no lag or loading problems at all on ps4 so far with any content.

There's no point in complaining about others having an advantage if you're unwilling to spend the money.
That's like saying it's unfair that people who spend more money get to go on better holidays abroad.
