Hunts unplayable on PS3 in many cases

Except that this issue happens even on top of the line PCs. It's not lag, it's the game choosing not to render characters either because it's not receiving all the data before receiving more, or because it's trying to keep your framerate up - the issue is that it doesn't do so in an intelligent way that keeps things playable.

there is option how many characters you can display in menu, problem is that even on maximum setting its around 200. I hope they will add unlimited option since we can handle that on PCs.... or anyone know about some ini where you can change that value ? I dont mind editing files to get it

I was in that group, and I have a fairly bitchin rig. It literally disappeared for everyone there all at once. It's not a PS3 thing. Most of us thought it despawned until it flickered back into existence.

This is a fundamental problem that has been in since launch and it needs fixed. Not just for Odin and behemoth but for EVERY MONSTER IN THE GAME. I don't care if I'm fighting a level 2 cane toad, I should not be losing renders in favor of some jerk's garuda-egi.

Buy a ps4. There's no point in complaining about others having an advantage if you're unwilling to spend the money.
That's like saying it's unfair that people who spend more money get to go on better holidays abroad.

It's not about spending money. It's about avoiding debt, which is what you end up with after being careless and spending hundreds to see a silly monster.

I don't think you need to worry yet. I am sure most people are reporting less then 1 minute kills. If you don't find it first don't worry.

Ehhh, as a PS3 player I dont mind this direction because I dont want them to hold back with the game.

Going PS4/PC soon and having to upgrade to enjoy the game isnt that demanding knowing how outdated PS3 hardware is these days, its holding the game back from its full potential.

They've been trying to entice people off PS3 for ages now it might play flawless up until the end storyline but beyond that it's pointless.

Uh, except it's not? I've cleared the entire first coil and every extreme primal except Ramuh EX on PS3 multiple times. Lag has NEVER been a reason why I couldn't progress in the game.

Until right now with these S hunts. Odin and Behemoth are like, the only other troublesome thing for me on PS3, but both of those bosses have enough HP that they can load before being zerged down

The loading time between areas is also annoying but that could also be fixed largely by giving the hunt enemies more HP.

Lucky you I and many others haven't had it that easy it's the reason I also had it on PC and the difference is almost criminal to a point you want to sue for intentional bottle necking. Now on PS4 and PC and no such lag issues ever but back when I had it on PS3 there was no such thing as an echo

It's a 7 years old piece of tech. At some point you have to accept that is old and underpowered.
