I don't remember how it even looks like... :SWhile we're checking with the dev. team regarding your glamour suggestions, I wanted to know how many of you would be interested in seeing the Fortemps armor become available for all jobs? (Without spoiling too much, this is the armor your character wears during the Patch 3.2 main scenario.)

This would be a good place to start. Adding more options that stray away from gear limitations would also be a big help. A while ago I suggested "prop" armor pieces (say "prop sabatons" that look like Steel Sabatons but are lv1, have no stats and can be equipped by all classes) to sort of go in that direction. While we're checking with the dev. team regarding your glamour suggestions, I wanted to know how many of you would be interested in seeing the Fortemps armor become available for all jobs? * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

I hate to be the wet blanket in this thread, but I would rather see them make the actual Dreadwyrm gear dyable as opposed to introducing crafted versions. Many players worked very hard to farm Turn 13 for those pieces. I would rather not see Dreadwyrm gear devalued by making it something you can simply purchase on the market board. That's already happened with Allagan and High Allagan. Please, for the love of the Twelve, can we leave those rewards sacred?

Don't worry you're not the only one thinking that way. Only crafters can think the other way around for obvious greedy reasons.I hate to be the wet blanket in this thread, but I would rather see them make the actual Dreadwyrm gear dyable as opposed to introducing crafted versions. If the devs can do it for one piece of armor, they can do it for all pieces. Instead of focusing on one ugly armor, they should listen to the community screaming for un-restricted glamour. The immersion excuse was over the moment they implemented the first casual gear (aka moogles, chocobos, bikinis, event gear etc) available for everyone. While we're checking with the dev. team regarding your glamour suggestions, I wanted to know how many of you would be interested in seeing the Fortemps armor become available for all jobs? And while you're at it...glamour book? Much appreciated.

That's right! We should restrict the glamour options of players because we want exclusive access to our precious trophies from dated content!
Wait... who's the greedy one, here, again...?
Yeah sure, and what do you want next ? A new version of the Gobwakler mount on MB without having to do A4S? Its "dated content" now after all.
Except people are still doing coil, precisely to get the tomestone parts that allow people to make the dyeable Allagan gear. I dunno about you, but people are still doing coil, and it's still taking work for people to get the items in question. I wouldn't mind them making the standard, non-replica gear dyeable, but considering they've nixed that option with the replica allagan gear we're probably still getting recipes if we ever do get the option.
What, do you want a clear date tooltip attached or something? It requires the same content to be completed.
Except that the people buying the dyable pieces can be people whom never touched coil at all. The entire thing can be purchased through MB.
Thats a great way to make some gear lose its "value" or rather what it represents, pretty much like Kirin nowadays. Having cleared coil should have been a prerequisite to be able to use these pieces as glamour. I mean come on its raid gear, dated yes, but still.
Not everything needs to be readily available for people who potentially never had to put any effort into a specific content dated or not. Or because they missed an event.
Some things have to remain rare and/or exclusive to a specific period of time ( lightning gear, 1.0 items ) or to the type of content they where originally from. ( raid drops in MB, gg SE ).
I agree, the actual pieces should have been made dyable. This way EVERYONE wanting those raid pieces need to at least put some effort into the process and actually earn their glamour.
Lets be honest here. Farming or buying enough gil for those pieces is not an effort in my book. It feels like a spit in a face to all the people who grinded their asses off to get their original undyable pieces.
Ill leave it at that. Its my opinion, it wont change no matter what.
Lets go back on topic.
