    To add to the list:

Same issue started occurring after 2.3. Initially only had issues with the new raid content. 36 people on screen might of been this issue, but its been getting worse. Can't do primals anymore. Starting to crash in outpost today.

    Drivers re-installed, game re-installed.

Any real ideas of what can be causing the crashes? There is nothing available of merit in the event log.

I was running out the Gate of Nald into Central Thanalan on my main, game freezes up entirely and I have to hard reboot the computer. Can't log into that one without the game crashing. Ok, fine, I got two more. Second toon runs out the Gate of Nald. At least the game just crashes this time instead of locking everything up, but now I can't log into that guy, either.

I think I should keep my last little toon AWAY from that gate for a while, yeah?

Follow up. Running program in compatibility mode for Win XP SP3. So far was able to play last night in hunt groups without crashes. Will update if I can run ST tonight.

Monday 7/28/2014 @ 8:45AM, first login using my laptop since Friday 7/25/2014. SAME issue, FFXIV has stopped working! SE please help us or provide a fix. I paid for a subscription to play the game. I will try clearing my temp files again and restart my laptop. I hope this temporary fix works again! Thank you.

Ive been having this issue happen every now and then when I log out. It will just hang on a black screen for a while before the "stopped working" error shows up. I have windows 7 myself. Granted this only started after the recent significant update (the one with ramuh and the hunts and such).

Same problem here. Randomly during hunts/ST/some dungeons and always in Tam Tara HM when you kill first orb demon and the barrier is about to go down. Games just died and cant log back in.

Wanted to put in my issue too.

As of today's patch on July 29th i'm having random crashes ive never once seen before. It first started when i tried to zone into ST and immediately crashed with the same error in this forum post. I tried to log back in but after i clicked my name and the load screen started to pop into the game it would then crash again. It did that repeatedly. I deleted the files and pulled from my backup of the game just in case and i then logged in. However i think this was simply because what ever was crashing me was gone because it put me back into mor dhona. So i thought "yay" and was talking to my fc while standing there and then i again randomly crashed. Ive since updated my drivers to the latest just to check...and all was well till it randomly hit again.

So in short I have no idea whats wrong but its literally stopping me from playing. Ill plop the standard info below but i cant see anything wrong on my end.

    Windows 8.1 Pro (updated)
    Nvidia geforce gtx 660ti
    Intel I7-4770K
    8 Gig Ram

and although this is similar to all the other posts....here is the event log

Faulting application name: ffxiv.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x53d1d154

which doesnt tell you much more than that its ffxiv itself setting off the issue

    Thanks!

Yesterday i was playing with the overclock of my cpu (I5 3570k) and i was having the same issue when i set the voltage to low for the cpu. You guys could try to underclok a little your cpu to see if that help or disable some of the cores. Also try to run a memtest to see if everything is ok on your ram.
