I know the post is for WAR, but I'd like to ask opinions on this build's viability for PLD.

They're just as viable on PLD.
However, the Skill Speed from Ruby accessories can be problematic for PLDs, as their TP consumption, while tanking, is much higher (even with Shield Swipe) than WAR's.
It's not a huge issue, but, if you're just gearing for PLD, then Topaz accessories might be a better choice.

I find that anytime I'm bottoming out on TP, I can just spam Stoneskin on myself about 5-8 times and I'll be fine. There are strategic times to do so in some fights (T7/sometimes T8 mainly). Even though it's lowering your DPS, it's better (imo) than just standing there waiting for the TP for your next combo. They're just as viable on PLD.

If you value both offense (str) and defense (HP), then i90 crafted is unquestionably best. If you want purely one way or other, then no. *Necessary*? No of course not, but sure would be nice.
T7
T8 I\\'ve been quad
T9 - can\\'t say. I\\'ve not done this one enough.
And Savage + future content I\\'m sure you\\'ll find use for the HP.
T8 is extremely scripted if you die it\\'s your fault. I have 8600 hp on WAR for t8 and never come close to dieing. CDs are for the dreads other than that you don\\'t need them. So they are always available. There is no instant kill in coil unless you time out or mess up a mechanic.
Coil2 is tuned very low in terms of ilvl and HP.
If you are still learning just go full VIT then add STR as you can.
7-8-9 can all be soloed tanked and most prefer to solo tank them making a tanks DPS rather irrelevant.
Sounds like boasting to me.
The following was observed twice (out of a lot of time in t8, so it's not common ... and the reason should be pretty obvious):
4 hits in logs. 3 have exact same timestamp, down to the second. 1 is one second later. Boss auto, boss cleave, Dread auto, Dread rotoswipe.
Total damage was right at 10k. I didn't take down exact number, but it was within +/- 500.
Party observed me dieing -- seemingly instantly. So it's not a mere quirk of the logging to put all the timestamps together.
I seem to recall, and this part is fuzzy (the above is absolutely certain), that it was right before the Dread died. Not just after dread spawned. (ie, faster DPS might have avoided it)
What probability is there that 2 sets of autos plus 2 special attacks will line up that narrowly? It's not that often. This is why you get a large number of smooth encounters. And then that 1 time BOOM! You're dead. And 1k HP would have made all the difference.

Our WAR did T8 solo tank for weeks with 30 STR and no VIT on right side. Has around 8k with Defiance. Very rarely does the scenario you outlined occur, though we take necessary precautions like Virus on both targets, E4E, and he pops all of his cooldowns (as he should). Is not a problem for a good WAR and good healers.

It's not boasting the cleaves and roto swipes are scripted attacks. With IB, a CD, foresight, e4e and virus the dreads barely do damage. For the last dread use HG for even more protection.
WARs are MTing and parsing over 250 on t8. (That's 60 DPS higher than me btw). They do that in full STR i110.
