Alright, this is something that is going through the hunting linkshells at the moment: hunt location gets passed around the linkshell, people start showing up in numbers, somebody inevitably pulls early (either intentionally or accidentally), mob dies early and people get extremely upset. This happens to a very large portion of the hunt mobs, probably around 75%, and as such, the people in the hunting linkshells aren't sharing their information very much anymore. The fix is quite simple, and will work if it spreads to the hunting linkshells. Have 1 heavily geared tank reset pull the mob constantly until everybody is at the hunt. Nobody from the hunting linkshell will attack except the tank, and a healer will keep the tank healed and debuff free. The tank will just shield lob/tomahawk while popping cooldowns to keep aggro until the call is made to kill the mob. They will need to run back and forth because 1 shield lob/tomahawk isn't going to cut it. This will work because there are not enough players outside the linkshells to kill A and S ranked mobs before the mob resets (as long as the linkshell players wait for the kill call), and it would be rare that the random players would be able to pull aggro from the tank and cause an early kill. Right now we have an excessive amount of early kills and this would fix it! I tried it earlier twice, but messed it up because I lacked a healer in them and the paralysis debuffs caused me to lose aggro. I think I even got blacklisted by half the people in the hunt linkshells because it didn't work, even though I announced exactly what I was doing before I did it in both linkshell and shout chat (lol?). But anyway, spread this around, because it will work.
edit: Also, if people are worried about somebody trolling with this, no tank can hold through a fully topped off party that has medica 2 overheals. If a tank+healer combo tries to troll with this and prevent players from killing the mob, just have your white mage spam medica 2.
