Will there be a player housing area in Coerthas or Ishgard?
Will there be a player housing area in Coerthas or Ishgard?
First of, I'd like to say I absolutely love this game. I've been playing A Realm Reborn since beta and love every minute of it.
This question is about status effects and minor details that have been added to characters. For example, prior to 2.1 when The Ultima Weapon would push you back your character remained in whatever animation you were in. So the sort of stumbling backwards that was added to that and other enemies with similiar attacks was a nice little detail.
With the addition of the freeze status added in The Syrcus Tower and more than likely Shiva, is there any way to make some of the other already present status effects a little more noticeable? Like the petrify status, could even something as simple as a grayscale be implemented to the characters, reminiscing the Final Fantasy days of old. It would certainly be easier to spot on things like Turn 2 in the Second Coil of Bahamut.
Here's a golden question that MUST be answered.
If the devs don't want a DPS meter to lead to negative behaviour then why is there content that demands high DPS? As it stands now people use them to see how they're doing and who's dragging the team down because in most places high damage is mandatory. Remove hard enrage timers, add a DPS meter and voila! Everybody wins.
Will we be able to see the other continents in the 3.0 Expansion? Since we're getting flight, I'm sure that will be possible then, if not shortly after.
What about "Classes" that have no job-stone?
Yoshida said that when deciding whether to do swimming or flying, he said Flying would be best. So it will be sometime after 3.0.
That's actually not "72" it's a 24-man Raid.
Extremely unlikely, especially if you want that to happen in the open world. It'd likely be on an arena similar to Frontlines, since the developers pretty much want this to be a PVE Game. So far from what I've gathered in the main story, "Free Companies" aren't really squabbling amongst each-other. Only the Grand Companies so far seem to be going at it for control of Carteneau Flats.
A DPS Meter would also lead to negative behaviour, possibly even worse than it is now. Some hardcore DFs kicking people, etc. immediately. Here's a golden question that MUST be answered.

I surely hope so. The only type of place I love more than fields of lavendar and cherry blossom woods, are snow-covered plains, mountains, etc.

Are there any plans to adjust the character stats to allow a greater freedom of customization without weakening yourself?
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$

Do you plan on removing more invisible walls within the zones to allow a greater freedom of exploration?
(allow more rocks to be climbed, rivers to be crossed, cliffs to be scaled, chasms to be jumped, etc.)

Would it be possible to bring back the high customization of v1.0 classes and make them as powerful as jobs (stats wise) for players who truly enjoyed the system?

Recently the BLM class was given a rebalance. Will this rebalance extend to other classes? For example, DRG as of late seems to struggle keeping up with MNK and SMN in the Second Coil of Bahamut and it is a less desired class for later Turns.
Will there ever be adjustments made to the maps to make them feel more open and realistic? Some of the invisible walls and gaps in the terrain can really spoil the immersion, whether it be stopping us from jumping off a cliff (even though there's terrain below) or having to run around a shallow pond / low lying tree trunk.
I suppose swimming plays into this as well - any hope for that?
Would it be possible to add a 4th faction (alternative to Maelstrom, Twin Adders and Immortal Flames) that would essentially allow open world PVP for these players (as they wouldn't be bound by the rules of the company alliance)?
